Terrible working enviornment, even worse to do business with 7/8/2010

First off, almost anything you order from ALB is used or refurbished.... All the wooden post for all the 4x8 and 8x12 signs are old used posts with a coat of fresh paint, but customers are charged PREMIUM prices, oh yeah and those 4x8 & 8x12 sign faces are reused too. All of the snipes are old, used, and reconditioned at top dollar as well as the flag poles. If you order a sign that is to be powder coated, half the time it is done in ordinary paint, and passed off as powder coated and priced as powder coated unless the customer can tell it's BS and calls them out on it. James that wrote the review about the human arrows, is spot on the money, they hire crackheads, and toothless bums found on craigslist, to hold human arrows, and then wonder why they never show up, or why there is a dummy on the sidewalk with a sign strapped to it, but still charge the customer. They have no concern for the environment what so ever! It is against the law to put any paint or solvent in a city trash containers, however they put paint oil based and latex, screen printing ink, solvent soaked rags, and lacquer thinner in the dumpster on a daily basis. They wash out silk screens out side, polluting the water table with lacquer thinner, ink, and emulsion. In my opinion, the best is how they treat the employees though. they illegally take money from paychecks for tools. They refuse to pay over time no matter how many hours you work, it's all regular wages and then they want you to ""bank"" your overtime, this way you can't use sick time, you build up ""banked"" overtime hours until you have enough to get a day off paid, or if you get sick and call out there goes your accumulated overtime hours instead of taking it from sick time, this is also against AZ state labor laws. They blackmail employees, yes blackmail, once you've worked there a little while, they make crude changes to company policies, and pass out a letter that says you have to sign and return this letter saying that it is ok for them to charge you 4times the cost of the sign, if you make a mistake while placing it, and you will NOT receive your paycheck that you've already worked for until this letter is signed and returned, that my friends is blackmail!!! Basically what I'm getting at is that ALB industries cares not about the needs of their customers, nor the well being of their employees. The owner doesn't care if the shop workers are loosing their homes, vehicles, and can't afford to feed their families, pay cuts and reduced hours all around!!! Pros: no pros Cons: all cons more

Worst Sign company, use MSI 2/20/2008

Unreliable at best, this company not only mismanaged my order for signs and delivered only half of what I ordered, they then blamed me for mix up. I gave them one last shot by ordering two human signs from them, neither of which showed up, however I still got charged. DO NOT use this company unless you like throwing away money. more
