Alano Recovery Homes

I know how it is too have had a bad experience with the above named business (alano homes), I can speak of my own experience the comments above are true very much so. I would like to add I am not commenting from anger, however recovery from anything in peoples lives is VITAL. The named business above has 3 houses each able to house 16 per property. They are not zoned for all of the bodies in said properies. And each paying $400.00 a piece a month multiplied by 16 , comes to $19,200.00 a month. The houses have bed bugs and they are trying to hide this from future clients, health department, & Access To Recovery (ATR). ATR funds 2 months of rent $800.00 & the staff tries to manipulate and lie to the public and are not making use of the principles of recovery. Alano Recovery Homes is a money making organization. Do not go there seeking recovery. The staff knows nothing of recovery, what they do know is how to generate revenue. I worked for this organization for nearly 18 months. Believe me if your seeking recovery DO NOT GO TO ALANO!!! more

I called for help with my daughter, who I was sending to treatment, looking for a ""halfway house"" afterwards. You did nothing except tell me not to send her to the treatment facility we had chosen, the they were bad people, etc. ""Just send her to us, she doesn't need treatment"". The outcome? Her two friends that went through treatment at the facility you TOLD us not to go to are sober, doing well, and have their lives back. My daughter has been in the ICU 3 times, has tried prostitution, and is now missing. I write this because I don't know any other way to express how much you and your ""advice"" have damaged people. I hope everyone stays as far away from you as they can. Cons: I wish that I could take back this whole experience more

Alano Recovery Homes states that they are ""a grassroots nonprofit"" with ""no paid staffmembers"" committed to helping alcoholics and addicts out of the goodness of their heart. The reality? One of the biggest donations they have ever received used SOLELY to buy the director a house. First question when seeking help ""DO you have money?"" Several paid staff members. No longer any staff with professional experience or eduction in addiction or social services. Their treatment program? ""Go to AA everyday"" AA is free, folks. There are numerous other treatment houses that are honest, caring, and ethical. Don't support these people! Cons: Nearly everything they say is untrue. more
