We rented a car for a 5 day weekend. First time with Alamo at SAN. They picked us up quickly for the ten minute ride to the lot. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We got a choice of two colors. Easy check out. 5 stars. more

the service was good, but when i returned the car i found out they over charged me without my consent 130$ and refuse to refund the money. \r i tried to talk with their customers service but they lie and claimed i agreed to this extra payment and refuse to refund my money! \r i read another similar reviews in YP and google+ - apparently it's their method to sting customers after you give them your credit card ""only for safety"" and despite they said ""don't worry. we don't charge you!"" \r be careful! be aware! more

I recently returned my car from a 2 day weekend rental. When the guy checking me in asked how everything was, I said fine but pointed out that the audio system wouldn't turn on. He quickly confirmed that was the case and when he printed out the receipt he said he took a little off the charges for the inconvenience. It turned out to be a whole day's rental charge which amounted to 1/3 of the total! (Yes, that means that 1/3 of the charge was taxes and fees, but you knew that's how it works at airports, right?). I thought it was very generous and that it's great that the staff is empowered to exercise good customer service practices. Thanks! more

I had reserved an SUV through my airline. When I arrived at the Alamo counter, there was no wait (3:00PM) and my car was ready and waiting for me. I had a choice of vehicles, all clean and ready to go. The agent who helped me at the counter could not have been nicer. The shuttle van drivers were courteous and helped with luggage. Both rental check-out and rental return were fast and easy. It was very easy to follow one of the blue Alamo shuttle vans right to the rental return area which also saved time. Overall, the San Diego Alamo Rent A Car team was top notch and provided prompt and courteous service. I will not hesitate to rent here in the future. more

I rarely give feedback, but I will here only because I LOVE YOU GUYS! I rented w/you the last 2 weekends both in San Diego.\r Your servicing is quicker than most, and I used for the 1st time, the self-serve machine which was easy, worked well, and off and running!\r I was in a hurry and your shuttle was there also, as he waited for me as he saw me running to catch it at the Alamo location; AND, he waited w/a smile!!\r Your people behind the counter did not pressure me to take the insurance. I hate that w/the other rental companies; AND, your choice of compact vehicles were fabulous for the price!!\r \r If I had to give a negative I will say, on both weekends when I arrived at the airport, the Alamo shuttle was the last to arrive. In one case, the Hertz shuttle came twice and left.\r I will accept that 100x over for all the rest of the positive you provide.\r THANK YOU ALAMO!! more

I rent from this Alamo location regularly and it's always been a smooth, pleasant experience. more
