Well, the Alamance-Burlington school system isn't anything to jump up and cheer about. They have decided to drug test the children, at the cost of $25,000 a year, that are participating in after school activities, clubs and even sports but, not the children that are walking about schools and not in any after school activities. They aren't even drug testing teachers even though one got busted last year for selling drugs to students. I guess due to our children "making a good name for the school" that we are the ones getting punished for it. Seems like it would be the whole school gets drug tested and not just one particular group of kids. Also they have cut back on teachers, teachers assistants, janitors, etc. because they said the money just wasn't there. Then why are we spending $25,000 a year to drug test kids? No matter what if these kids what to get and use drugs they will find a way to do it and not get caught. There are other ways of getting high and not just by doing drugs. Just ask around and any kid can tell you how to do that! Wake up Alamance-Burlington schools system and get your act together!
