In Short
The Ak-Chin Tribe and neighboring tribes exhibit hand-made artifacts in a unconventional museum. The museum is the surrounding land. The caretakers are the tribe's members. There are no buildings to embrace the exquisite art, and the Ak-Chin Tribe wouldn't have it any other way. This museum is without walls; it represents the tribe's oneness with the environment. The Ak-Chin believe the environment is of utmost importance, thus its name, Him-Dak, which means "eco-museum."
