AJ's used to be the best... 5/31/2008

AJ's was a great place for food and drinks. The scumbag owner of the property, which was flooded last winter, also owns a restaurant and bar in Torrington. The reason that Anthony, Dave, and Kim had to close it up starts with a B and ends with an I. He likes to strong-neck tenants and other clientele and is a straight up piece of trash. Pros: Great Owners/Bartenders/Cooks/Regulars Cons: They are closed. more

CLOSED!!!! 3/12/2008

Unfortunately AJ's has closed as of mid January 2008 due to flood damage from a burst sprinkler pipe. Plans were in store to re-model and re-open but due to a confilct with the buildings owner they have decided to close their doors. I am unsure if they have plans to possibly re-open in a new location but anthony, kim and dave will be missed around town. more

The service was awful. The unprofessionalism is unbelievable. The waiter was rude. The presentation of the food was disgusting. The 9 dollar appetizer came with three small pieces of chicken on a giant plate with shreds of lettuce underneath it. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. Pros: The setting was nice. Great place to stop- lunch, dinner, or just drinks. 6/22/2007

Great pizza, sandwiches, entrees, soups, salads, drinks. The best part of all is the tremendous service and the great people behind the bar. They make you feel right at home and always have you leaving with a smile on your face. Pros: Great service Cons: Man, I can't think of any...maybe an outdoor area would be nice. more
