Pizza that brings flavor to the front! 12/26/2010

As a food person I don't often get to really let my imagination run when I'm trying foods in restaurants. This place was the exception. The atmosphere is relaxed and easy and the general feel of the place is warm and inviting. The first thing I noticed was the staff being friendly and attentive. The second was the fact that the kitchen is open for all to see, for a food critic this is a big plus! I was not led astray by my impressions. \r \r I have now enjoyed this restaurant and it's fantastic offerings for quite some time and can say I have enjoyed each visit. The pizza is gourmet style pizza so you can be out of the box with your choices or you can go traditional if you like. Whatever you select the food is good, the freshness and quality is consistent and the taste is a sure thing. The flavor is KING in everything I've sampled here. The cheesecakes are a special treat as well and something you do not want to miss. In a world of chain restaurants and set menu choices it is really nice and dare I say ""refreshing"" to have a place like this to create a fresh dish with ingredients that really allow you to enjoy the food as you like it. \r \r If you live in the area or are traveling through, you simply have to stop in and try Ahart's. You'll be glad you did! more

A place you don't want to miss. 12/26/2010

This place has some of the best pizza you'll find anywhere. We have traveled extensively and have had pizza that was called ""the best"" and this is really some of the best. The crust and toppings are fresh and the quality is unmatched. The restaurant is clean and the owners are friendly and enjoyable to get to know. You can't go wrong if you try this place. Yes, you will see an occassional negative review but that only means they are serving a lot of pizza wouldn't you agree? :) more

Forget the rest, Ahart's is best 11/4/2010

Forget all the pizza chains in this town, you haven't had pizza the way it was meant to be tasted until you've come to Ahart's Pizza Garden in Murfreesboro. Crispy thin crust lays the foundation for a generous layer of savory marinara sauce, cheese, and a heaping helping of toppings, ranging from your old favorites like pepperoni and sausage all the way to things like roasted almonds or avacado. You don't want to miss out on this if you live in the area. Don't forget to leave some room for a couple of slices of homemade cheesecake on the way out! more

'Boro's best mom and pop pizza 3/5/2010

I love Ahart's! It is the only pizza place I'll take out of town friends and family. The pizza toppings are diverse, fresh, and delicious. The crust is a thin crust, so just try something else off of the extensive menu if you're averse to thin crust. That being said, my husband can't stand thin crust from chain places, but loves Ahart's crust... so it may be worth while to just try it! Murfreesboro needs more places like this--somewhere with great food that I can really feel good supporting with my business. Pros: wonderful pizza, nice salads, friendly staff more

very disappointed 9/12/2009

very disappointed in Aharts Pizza Garden. I ordered a B.O.T. 14"", supposed to come with Basil, Bacon, Onion, and Fresh Tomato. I repeated the order twice, even saying all the ingredients. My sister-in-law picked up the pizza on her way home from work, and when it arrived it was 'The Boro', which is Basil, Sun Dried Tomatoes, and Garlic. I really don't like sun dried tomatoes. I called to see what I could do, but unfortunately my family had already 'dug in' and eaten half of it. I took 2 bites and realized they were sun dried and spat it out. Yuck. $17.99 wasted imho. PB&J for me. They really should have taken care of me. more

Great food, relaxed attmosphere 5/12/2009

This review is a lot more current than the 2 above, 2009 as opposed to 2006, 2004. You will not find your average pizza here. Yes, the crust is like a cracker, not bread. It allows for the wonderfully tasty topping flavors to come through. If you need a carb fix order the bread sticks (I love the pesto). You have no excuse to not try the homemade cheesecake. Most of them are sweetened with Splenda. There are always at least 4 flavors every day, sometimes as many as eight, and Bonita hand makes them all. She is the owner along with her hubby, Randy Ahart.. They are in house almost every day to give you the personal, locally owned experience you can't get in a chain restaurant. The only downside is it's too far for me to drive there everyday. Pros: gourmet pizza, homemade cheesecake Cons: too far to drive everyday more

Pizza OK ----Service Fair 5/12/2006

This little pizza place is near home which I like. The pizza was fair--crust and sauce could have been better. I will continue to visit. Pros: no wait on a Sat nite, good place for kids Cons: expensive more

Nice Atmoshphere, Awful Pizza 12/16/2004

When we walked in, we thought, ""Wow! A nice little dive-like pizza place. It has the atmosphere of a real pizza parlor. That's about all I can say that is good. The pizza toppings are wonderful. However, the crust makes me think that I am eating a cracker with pizza toppings. It is very thin and tastes just like a saltine. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE WHITE PIZZA SAUCE!!!!! It's more like a garlic and ricotta cheese spread than a sauce. Service was good, but when I was asked how everything was and I expressed my honest opinion, I was ignored. Pros: Good Parking Cons: , Price!!!!, Customer Service more
