We recently had issues with our washing machine, so we decided to purchase a new washing machine and dryer. Instead of going to the big appliance stores, we purchased ours through the local business in town. We figured that it was better to go through the locally owned company, figuring that the service would be better and we would have an all around better experience going with the store that had been around for many generations. After just a week with the new appliances, which I might ad are top of the line appliances, our dryer already started to give us issues. Upon calling the company they sent out their technician to come out and see why our dryer wasn't working properly. They checked it out, and within another week, the problem continued to persist. After two more visits, and our clothes were still coming out wet and still extremely damp after running the clothes through a few cycles, the technician installed some type of new thermostat, which he said was some type of manufacturer defect. A defect on a brand new dryer? Anyways, finally being extremely annoyed, we went to the internet and found Guy Oliver and his company. We set up an appointment and Guy and his team came out to our house, on time, prepared and ready to get to the bottom of our problem. They came in and figured out that the ducts were extremly clogged, to the point where they needed to be replaced. They were extremly knowledgeable, friendly and reasonably priced. They took the time to walk me through everything that was wrong, to show me exactly what had happened and really educated me on the importance of having the vents/ducts etc. cleaned out on a regular basis. They also took the time to talk to me about how this issue can be the "silent" killer and that if not properly cleaned out can cause house fires. They gave me a very fair price, they did a very thorough job and they even went as far as to clean up and take out all parts they removed out to my garbage. I was beyond impressed, especially being a female who isn't really technical when it comes to these type of jobs. They didn't try to pull the wool over my eyes with anything (as can often be the case when women are in charge of these types of things... we often can get scammed because we don't really know when people are trying to take advantage of us. For example when I took my three week old car to get an oil change and they sold me a new air filter etc. etc., of course when the mechanic told me I needed it in order to breathe fresh air etc. I bought it. I learned my lesson quickly, and I'm not saying that women cannot do a man's job, but I'm saying unless we know otherwise, it is often the instance that we get scammed.) Guy was even so kind as to call my Dad and speak with him over the phone to explain what was going on, to give him the estimate etc., which beat out all the competitors prices. They were extremely accurate, courteous, they came prepared with everything they needed and did a great job. The following week, I started to have the issue with the dryer again and I called Guy on a Saturday in a panic... I had a lot going on and needed the dryer to do clothes for the whole family and I was able to reach him on his cell phone and talk to him about what was going on. His home/business is a good hour away from my home, not to mention it was a saturday night. He could have easily told me to wait until Monday etc. He didn't, he drove out to our home, only to find out that the problem was due to us and we had pressed the wrong button, since it was a new machine to us and we had it set to low. (One of the new all digital machines) That being said, he came out and figured it out in about two seconds, did not charge me for coming out to my house again, and wasn't one of those guys who are mad that they had to come out, (I say had, he really did not HAVE to do anything) and to top it all off, he refused to accept any payment.
