BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! I am very unhappy with this company! I have lived in my house for 3 years and started to experience back up problems in my downstairs bathroom. i found this company online and called for an appt.They came to service my cesspool in April 2012 and I started having back up problems in September 2012. I called a plumber thinking that something was stuck in the pipes causing the back up problems and they told me that the pipes were clear. The plumber walked to the front of the house & told me my cesspool was full!! I was enraged! The plumber charged me the same amount it would have cost to service the cesspool! I called Affordable Cesspool & finally got in touch with the owner a day later. He told me that I may have a 2 nd cesspool that needs to be emptied. One of his employees came & said we don't have a 2nd cesspool and that I need to service the same cesspool! I explained to him that I lived here for 3 years without needing any service and I paid for everything they recommended such as chemicals, jetting and aeration. The owner did not want to talk to me and the employee said there was nothing they can do. I explained to him that I felt scammed! All of my neighbors and the plumber agree that we were scammed! more

Maybe affordable...I'll never know because they are not reliable. They are now six hours late for the scheduled window time that they set. The customer service operator was rude and nasty and not very helpful. Listen to Lynne and run far and fast....they are not the only game in town, find another reliable company and save yourself the trouble. more

I notice that most folks only post bad reviews out of frustration when they are dissatisfied. I used Affordable after being recommended by a neighbor that was very happy with them. I obtained many estimates for cesspools and these guy were bout in the middle. I was pleased with the work done. One of the owners was on site for the whole job, in fact he was operating the backhoe. There were several workers on site including family of the owner. I watched every second of the work and these guys were pleasant and as neat as you can get tearing up ones from yard for new cesspools !! The had to take up part of a brick walkway to dig up my old cesspool and pulled up the bricks BY HAND and hand carried them to the side of my home. The owner even offered to deliver more topsoil after settling which is not typical. I have not taken him up on this yet so cannot comment on the validity of the offer. I know there are a lot of incompetent criminals in the cesspool business. These guys were not complete angels but they did what they were supposed to do and seemingly did it well. more

Nice and personable came on time-indicated pumping would cost just under $200 figured I’d pay the standard $400 after chemicals when all said and done. Day after Christmas-gentleman made a comment that cesspool guy available, easier to get than a doctor. Even though I know better I fell for the idea that the line was clogged needed to be cleaned out-additional $150. Bill came to $775-said he would knock off about 10% and would not charge tax if I paid cash. Total cost $675 for approximately an hour’s work. Although easier to get than a doctor, charges more. more

I've had the same problem over and over.... Affordable was the 4th company I used. The first 3 were terrible, all I did was give them money to show up.. Affordable came fixed my problem fast and easy.. I recomend you use them first, you wont be dissappointed!!!! more

I had this company come over to drain my cesspool. My property has two cesspools, one that's an overflow, that are attached to one another. There are two homes on property that these cesspools cover. After they finished draining one cesspool they pumped water into the cesspool to see that it was draining. They flooded the inside of the main home with sewage because they didn't drain the second cesspool; after I warned them that there was a second cesspool. Then there was no apology for flooding the main home and I had to ask them to clean up the mess they made instead of them offering. Then they did a half as$ job of cleaning up the mess inside the home. They made no attempt at discounting the price for this mistake and just charged me for draining the other cesspool which was hundreds of dollars more than the original price. They also suggested that the pipe between the Main cesspool and the overflow was blocked and that I should have it replaced which could not be so because both cesspools were full when they came. So, I dug up the cesspools to try and fix the clog myself. It appears to me that they broke the top of the main cesspool and pushed in a piece of the concrete from the top in the pipe that feeds the overflow. On top of all this, the main cesspool was hardly pumped because they were probably expecting me to call them back to fix the clog problem. I would not recommend this company to anybody!! I have just been ROBBED ! A cesspool service named ""Affordable Cesspool"" just left my home after less then an hour of being here. The original charge of $ 350.00 was what they explained when I called them but when they arrived and started the job the heavy set guy told me that the cesspool would need to have an extra 1000 gallons of sewage drained. No one showed me how they figured out how much they were taking out ? Also they charged me an extra charge for finding the cesspool $ 120.00 which took all of ten minutes to find with their stake ? I feel the job was over priced to say the least and that I wasn't properly informed of their extra charges before they started ! I want everyone who reads this NOT to use their service unless they don't mind being unfairly treated and overcharged ! AFFORDABLE CESSPOOL IS NOT AFFORDABLE ! DO NOT USE THEM ! Cons: OVERPRICED !
