This is hands down the best gun shop in Atlanta over the past few decades. Now in it's third location, I have come to Adventure Outdoors for just about anything relating to firearms and ammunition.\r \r Their gunsmithing services are second to none (David has been around as long as the store has), prices reasonable, and quantity unmatched. The new location took over a former grocery store and it is warehouse sized. If you can't find it here, chances are it doesnt exist.\r \r With the recent move, they've also added an indoor shooting range making it an even more effective trip.\r \r If you can only shop one store, make it this one. more

After putting on safety glasses and some solid earmuffs, we were guided into the range by a very helpful man, whose name has escaped me. He was patient as all get-out, hands-on, and seemed to really enjoy his job. After a few shots, we had gotten the hang of things. My shooting buddy caught on a tad bit quicker, though. All in all, it was FUUUN!!! more

Adventure Outdoors had a nice selection of new and used guns, rifles, shotguns, revolvers, pistols, ammo, gun safes, bows, accessories, etc and at better or competitive prices. Shop elsewhere, then go here and you'll see what I mean. \r \r Been there four times, bought something at every visit. One stop shopping, easier and cheaper than paying admittance to the gun shows.\r \r By the way, the day I found the store (by accident driving by) there were two gun shows in the area and it was still packed and selling guns as fast as people could buy them. \r \r Over the loudspeakers I could hear the acknowledgement of my purchase ""A new Kimber 1911 ACP has found a new home""\r \r Sweet sound to my ears, plus the 7 other guns that were sold while I was there. \r \r Better go there soon before they run out... more

Love this store.\r \r I went in for some noise protection. I have a contract gig where workers sometimes get pretty noisy so I needed soundproof ear muffs for those times when I seriously have to concentrate. \r \r And I felt like a kid in a candy store.\r \r Guns. Guns. And more guns. The store is huge. I messed around with a few rifles while I was there. more

This review is for the shooting range.\r I finally got a chance to use my Groupon deal today and it was actually my \r first time ever shooting a gun. There was an 8 minute safety video you had to watch first and of course, sign a waiver, and give them your ID. You get to pick either a rifle or a pistol--if you didn't already bring your own--and since I haven't shot before, the employee there gave me some tips before I went to my lane. I also bought a zombie target for $1 because...zombies. Anyway, I ended up using their pistol and they gave me safety glasses and ear muffs. When you get in your lane, you set up your target and there's a control button on your left in each lane that helps put your target closer, farther, or just come back to you. I've never been in a shooting range before so, I found that pretty cool. Overall, enjoyed my first experience shooting and will definitely go to a gun range again in the future. more
