Adventure Montessori is a wonderful school and the staff members are kind and attentive. They stick to the Montessori learning principles and it is evident there is a love for the children and learning at this school. The director and head of school are very sweet, care about each child, and will make sure that every child receives the attention and care they need to develop their own love of learning. more

My child has been enrolled at Adventure Montessori since it opened in August 2011 and we have been so pleased with the quality of care and education provided for him during the last year. Upon first touring the school, I was immediately impressed by the beauty of the building and the clean and spacious infant environment, but I have since learned that there are many more ways that this school sets itself apart from a day care center. The infant teachers seem to truly enjoy caring for the children and are always looking for ways to enhance the learning environment for them. When you walk into the classroom you see the teachers are often on the floor working directly with the babies and engaging them in activities. My child's hours spent at school are full of exploration and learning, which has made me a big supporter of the Montessori philosophy. He loves to do art projects, read stories with his teachers, visit the school's gardens and their farm animals, and eat at the table with his utensils and cup of milk like a big boy! As parents, we love seeing him happy and thriving in this environment as he becomes an independent toddler. We are sad to leave his classroom and teachers as he makes the transition to the toddler program, but feel fortunate for the wonderful year he has had there and look forward to watching him continue to grow and develop in this great Montessori school. more

DON'T BELIVE EVERYTHING YOU READ. I noticed some other peoples comments are very incorrect! These owners have not had any failed schools. They had one other and decided to sell it to Hope. Their current school in Lafayette is absolutley wonderful. My two boys have attended their schools since they were babies and I love what this school represents. My boys love their teachers and the current staff has been nothing but supportive. My experiance with the owner and admin staff have been great as well. it is clear to me that they really love the children and take the time to get to know EVERY family there. I am a Montessori trained teacher so I know what an apprpriate environment is supposed to look like. I am really impressed with the class rooms and the training/education their teachers have. This school balances being state-of-the-art modern with a natural peaceful environment Montesorri schools should have. Love this school so much I drive 30 min. both ways to get my kids there ! more

This school is amazing I would highly recommend the school to any parent. The atmosphere is so peaceful, the staff very loving and professional. This is the school that any parent would feel their children are well taken care of with the highest of learning opportunities and love given to each individual child. more

This school has been amazing for my two 5/26/2012

This school has been amazing for my two children. They are learning two languages, enjoying the classroom materials and Petals the pig is a highlight. more

Do not send your child here 5/3/2012

I had a horrible experience at AML. My son has special needs and he was given no support. The director was talking to me about him and said ""I don't THINK he's retarded."" there has been a huge amount of staff turnover something like 12 out of a staff of 26. These directors have opened three centers and they all have failed so maybe it's time to stop. The only thing that I can say is good are the staff. They work hard with little to no support and they truly love the kids. more

Adventure Montessori is excellent! We 1/30/2012

Adventure Montessori is excellent! We love how involved our children are with nature and especially the animals that are on site. Our whole family loves to search out ""Petals"", the school pig at the end of each school day (as time permits!) This is truly what Montessori education was meant to be! more

Excellent 11/13/2011

New to the school, but our experience has been great and we appreicate the education they offer to our son. Most days I have trouble getting him to leave the fun playground. more

Excellent School! 11/13/2011

I could not be happier with this newly opened location! The staff have been wonderful. I enjoy seeing the same faces every day. My son is always delighted to go to school. The classroom is beautiful and I love Petals the piglet! She is very clean and friendly with the children. My son has never had better experiences in his academics and has just been accepted to a private elementary school due to his high academic levels. They have always been very responsive to our needs. Great school, go check it out for yourself! more

Awful Montessori 11/13/2011

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! As an education professional, and a parent who visited numerous childcare centers, I am shocked at how unprofessional, disorganized and flippant the staff members were. Not only did they take our money to reserve a spot (and then not have one available - and, no refund), but they deflected my question re: questionable security with ""we've never had a child stolen before."" Nice. They emailed an invitation to a back-to-school-night and when we arrived, we let ourselves in (door not locked) and there was nothing organized; the director walked past us 3 times - guess they have no problem with strangers roaming their halls. Several other bad encounters - no one answering phone, no one manning the front desk (as advertised) and rumors of frequent teacher turnover and problems with staff. HIGHLY discourage anyone from sending their children here. more

Satisfied 11/13/2011

My two boys have attended Adventure Montessori for two years and have gained an amazing LOVE for Learning, Thanks to all the wonderful teachers and staff. more

I WOULD NOT SEND MY CHILD 8/3/2011

I was shocked to hear these owners are trying to open another child care center after they previously already tried. When the management is weak and the leadership lacks, it effects the morale of the teachers. They do not invest in the staff like other traditional Montessori schools. My child played with broken toys during her brief time at their center. I would not recommend. The experience I've had with some of their staff was less than positive. more

Would Not Recommend 3/11/2011

This organization absolutely could care less about this neighborhood. Clear-cutting a beautiful grove of trees off their corner with absolutely no communication to the local neighborhoods. A huge eyesore and a VERY MAJOR loss in terms of a sound barrier to the traffic on 287. They will bring congestion (if anyone bothers to enroll) and very little caring about their local impact. Attitudes show in actions taken - can't imagine what their attitude is in regards to teaching and learning. more

Beautiful School 3/2/2011

Adventure Montessori is phenominal! As a Montessori teacher, I have been to many schools and observed. I have also worked at several schools. None of them could compare to Adventure Montessori. My favorite things about the school? I love the integrated curriculum and the focus on the child. I love the nuturing, degreed teachers who are available for help when needed. I love the creativity that goes on in every room, really bringing education to life and creating a joy of learning within the children. I never saw anything but smiling faces. The beautiful environment and the top of the line materials used in the classrooms only added to my enjoyment of this school. Please note that I emphasize the word school (not a daycare). These children are intelligent! \r \r The respect between the staff was great, and it trickled down to respect between the children and parents as well. Go AML! more

This school had an amazing teachers appreciation week. We were all honored in a special way. more

do not recomend it 10/12/2010

We went through 4 teachers change and change of the ownership from adventure to hope montessori. I do not recommend this facility for a toddler. Their setting is 1 toilet for 20 toddlers capacity. The rooms are certified for 12-24 month old. But they are not designed for potty training toddlers, they are designed for diaper changing. Only their primary rooms are designed to potty train children and have more then 1 toiled for 20 children. The facility was extremely unhelpful potty training. From not changing cloth diapers to providing not true information about how many times the child was offered to go to the bathroom (they were offering 2-3 times to the potty trained child). The child was potty trained. Regressed to 100% misses at the facility and refusal to use their toilet. Was re-trained at home and brought back to the facility. Was successful using the potty for couple weeks and then the facility changed the teacher and my child toileting settings. Up to the point that administration communicated to me that it is not their job to potty train the child. This is not what was sold at the beginning. The Montessori settings is not supposed to be like this. The facility caused a lot of personal stress and was not helpful. The teachers are trying to be nice, but I do not know which administration was worse the old one or the new one. The facility has very high children drop off rate, the highest then any montessory in 20 miles radius. I should not being putting the child these in the first place, I wanted Montessori school. Hard lesson to learn indeed. pros: several very loving teachers cons: big turn over of children, unhelpful management, they do oversell their services and do not stand true to their promices more

Great School 10/28/2009

My little girl is finally in a place where she is happy and content. The staff is amazing and loving. Adventure Montessori has made a difference in our little girl. Pros: My child is happy more

A great place for children 10/28/2009

I have two children who attend Adventure Montessori and my children love the school. They have learned so much and the teachers are loving and kind. My children are learning to read at such a young age and enjoy going to school everyday. The staff is trained in Love and Logic principles. I appreciate Adventure Montessori giving my children a safe place to attend. Pros: A real love for children more

Beautiful, peaceful and organized 10/1/2009

Our daughter has been in a Primary classroom for one year. We love Adventure and are very happy with the Montessori methods and philosophy. She comes home talking about ""grace"" and ""continents."" The other day, she was singing a song about her ""cranium"" and ""vertebrae."" She is three years old. \r \r I could go on and on: we have conversations after school about ""deciduous leaf stage"" and the names of places such as ""Down Under"" for Australia. Our home is full of books and art, but Adventure puts it all together in a way that makes me feel blessed that she is a student there.\r \r Another thing we love about Adventure is the welcoming staff. When my daughter arrives, she is greeted warmly, often with hugs. This means the world to me, as she can be shy. Within seconds, our child is off and engaging with her friends. I always leave with a happy feeling she is in the best hands. \r \r One note: One reviewer said the toddler room was uneven. I have heard that, but recently, it was reorganized with new staff. A mother told me at Parents Night in Sept. 09 that the new toddler room was wonderful. Pros: True Montessori experience; loving staff Cons: No consistent communication from office; no email newsletter more

don't put it on the top of your list 6/26/2009

My son was there for 2.5 years. In the year in the toddler room, they constantly had new teachers. To be exact, 7.\r There were several kids who broke their limbs in their playground. Mine was one of them. They called me and said he had a scratch. When I got there, somehow my son was asleep and then they said he may have broken his arm.\r They combined the preschool rooms two into one to save budget, about 40 kids in one room. My son ran around in the room because of the excitement and he was constantly put into timeout. In one week he woke up every night and cried and said he did not want to go to school any more.\r Many teachers and kids have moved on to other schools. Us too. And I am so glad that we made the move. At age 4 he is able to read chapter books and do additions etc. Very compassionante, and very happy too.\r Pros: There are a couple of caring teachers Cons: big turnover, poor management, money first for the owner more
