Excellent job! 5/31/2011

Advent Air Conditioning has excellent service. They're very good, and I recommend them. The guy who came out gave me a price told me all what he had to do to give me a price. He had to check my unit and all the ductwork and stuff. He spent a good two hours checking it all out, measuring and taking heat loads, which impressed me compared to a couple of other people I had out briefly who were just looking to replace the unit. He wrote down everything and told me that the ductwork, insulation, and everything was sufficient. He then showed me the unit he chose, and I decided to have the heater changed out also, which made it a matched set. The two guys did it all in one day. It took them twelve hours, but it was all just in one day, and I think they did an excellent job. They did everything they said they were going to do in the contract, and they even came back and checked the ductwork, making sure there was good airflow. They extended some lines, and made some repairs in the end. They did an excellent job. The unit and everything is running right now, and it has kept the house warm when I need it, and cool when I need it. more

I should have called Advent Air Conditioning, Inc. first! 5/2/2011

I think that Advent Air Conditioning, Inc. is excellent! Basically, I have three air conditioners in my house that have needed maintenance and replacing over the past years. I've used other people to do these things in an attempt to save a little money, and they have just ended up causing me a lot of trouble and costing me so much more to fix the issues they caused! I called Advent, which I should have done for the very first one! They came in and were so efficient. They were so far above in the quality of work when compared to the others I had worked with previously. Almost immediately I trusted that they knew exactly what they were doing. I can sleep well now, knowing there's no problems in the work that Advent's done. Also, it's good knowing that I can personally call Advent directly and they'll know who I am. Yes, overall, it has been more expensive, but it's been well worth the cost! Jill Hawkins more

I've had them service my system for 13 years because of their excellent service. 4/28/2011

From start to finish, the installation that Advent did was very, very pleasant. The two gentleman that came out could not have been nicer. They explained everything to me, and the guys who came to do the job were very nice too, and they did it quickly. I had called about a problem with my furnace, and within 30 minutes the technician called me saying he would be here in a couple of hours. He did come, and he spent quite a bit of time here, trying to figure out what the problem was (it turned out to be something with the wiring). Advent is the only company that has ever worked on my air conditioning and heat. Of course, the reason I've had them work on it all these 13 years, back when we first got the system, was their service. It was not a good system, but every time I called they treated me very nicely, and very courteously. They people they had come out and analyze the problems helped me immensely, so I'm very satisfied with them. I really feel that I have gotten this good of service because I had all those checks. Buyer Beware for air conditioning repairs! 2/3/2011

Advent has a policy of charging you book time for EACH part replaced, even though the repairer does it all in the same amount of time. This leads to a very high repair bill if you need more than one part replaced. I had Advent come out last summer to fix my a/c. They replaced two parts and charged me $600.00 for 1 hour work. I complained and the owner said "that's how it works with our repair policy - I have to make a profit on repairs". I finally got two other contractors to look at their work and each said anything over $300.00 for the job was overcharging. Later when the a/c needed replacing, I DID not use Advent. more

They come out the day after I called and resolved my hvac issue... but it came with a rather large price tag. more

Advent Air 5/5/2009

By Morag M.\r I have used this company for several years. Recently I had them install a complete A/C system. They arrived early, were very courteous and mindful of leaving any kind of mess. The 3 guys worked continuously all day and finished the job 12hrs later, thanks to a weather delay. \r It's always a good to know the people coming into your home are reliable, friendly and competent.\r I would certainly recommend Advent Air to anyone looking for this type of company. more
