Everyone I've encounterd at Adobe is very caring and professional. Appointments are easy to schedule\r and available early AM and weekends. Each time\r we were there they remembered our dog and her problems.\r They were realistic with their recommended treatment\r plan and when she passed away their support was\r again remarkably kind and caring. more

Very good 5/12/2006

My husband has taken our standard schnauzer many times and has been very happy. She was throwing up a lot once and they actually kept calling the next few days to make sure she was doing okay!! I was really impressed. more

Years of Reliable Caring Service 5/12/2006

My family has had three dogs go through Adobe over the last 20 years. The staff could not be any more caring or attentive to every critter who walks in the door. They are efficient, thorough, and have always shown genuine compassion and concern for my dogs. We wouldn't dream of taking them anywhere else! more

They take care of everyone with Super First Class care. Very comfortable astmosphere and friendly caring doctors and staff. Easy to get a last minute appointments and open 24 hours for emergencies. more

Vet 5/12/2006

My dog Teddy is alway well taken care of at Adobe Animal Hospital. The staff is very nice and Brian Maxwell is always pleasant and very caring. The only problem I have is with Teddy, because he does not travel well in a car and it is alway a big production to get him there and back. more

Best Local Vets and Emergency Services 5/11/2006

Adobe has some wonderful vets and is well-equipped to handle almost all animal's situations, emergencies, as well as regular veterinarian check-ups. They have obedience training for puppies and can recommend almost anyone that is needed for certain special services. They have always been caring and helpful. We've used them for over 16 years for dogs, cats and hamsters. more

good vet 5/11/2006

We've taken all of our animals here with good results. They take good care of them. The one caveat I might add is that some of the vets do a lot of expensive tests an older, more experienced vet might not do. The result is on two occasions, I felt we spent a lot more on lab work than was necessary for minor problems. Since then, I just stick to making appointments with the vets I know. All the other times we've been there have been great. They have a great drop in service for shots (if your pet has had a physical there within the right amount of time) and if your dog gets a tick on it you can drop in and they'll take if off for you. They are nice and friendly people. I like their dog training classes. My dog was stung by a bee, we took the dog there and they helped us right way without charge. more

Great Veterinarian 5/9/2006

Adobe has been taking care of our dog for the last two years, and I've been really happy with their level of service and care. They have appointments available when I need one, and are very friendly to both me and my dog. PROS: Good, dependable pet health care CONS: Not cheap more

They keep my dogs going 5/9/2006

I've taken my dogs to Adobe with all sorts of problems from stepping in red ants to having a small rubber ball removed from the intestines. They do a good job of getting an animal patched up and back out doing what animals do best (which sometimes seems to be getting in trouble and going back to the hospital.) I wouldn?t recommend taking animals there for vaccinations or spaying or neutering. There are other places in town that have far better rates for that sort of thing. PROS: Good place to get your pet patched up CONS: Not a great place for routine maintenance more

We have been going to Adobe Animal Hospital for seven years. They are always open, have top flight vets, and have helped us keep Tino, the family schnauzer, in great shape.\r \r Things I like: Always open. Friendly atmosphere. Will give advice on phone. Great animal care 5/1/2006

Adobe Animal Hospital has wonderful vets and a very caring staff. They are willing to answer many questions over the phone so you don't have to come in. If you need to come in, the doctores are wonderful. The vet I saw sat down on the floor with my dog. The next day they called to see how my dog was doing. Great Service Any time day or night 4/26/2006

How great is it to have an animal hospital that can provide 24x7 service so close to our home. I use Adobe for all of my dog's needs and have not yet had a vet there that was not friendly and competent. Their rates for emergency service are alittle higher than their standard rate, but hey, when you need that emergency care, does it really matter. I have found their rates for regular vet visits to be competitive for the area. more

Best Overall Veterinary Clinic on the Peninsula 4/26/2006

Just switched to Adobe within the last year. Great facility with all the newest technology and great hours for all of us working animal parents. In addition they have a 24 hour emergency clinic on-site. So should you have an after hours emergency you can take your pet to a place that has access to their medical records and most likely already know him/her.\r \r In addtion, the front desk staff, technicians and doctors are absolutely wonderful, friendly and caring. Adobe doctors will do telephone consultations when you aren't quite sure whether you need an office visit or not. Other vets will give you the standard well you better just bring him in just so they can make money. Not Adobe. They know by providing the best customer service and experience for your pet your well tell everyone. LIKE I AM NOW. Great service 3/13/2006

I think Adobe is great. I've been taking my animals ther for years. The staff is awesome. I like the fact that they do evening and weekend appts and you can call and get advice at 11pm when your dog might might be sick. Also, if your dog becomes seriously ill, becasue they are a hospital, they have the medical equipment and lab right there, so you don't have to take them someplace for tests or specialized treatment that a regular vets office might not have. When my 18 year old dog was dying, they were very kind and sensitive discussing options. more

Convenient 24-hour service 3/7/2006

We have taken our dog and two cats to Adobe for a couple of years now, and have always had good experiences with the different vets we've seen. Additionally, we seem to always have middle-of-the-night and weekend issues arise, so it's nice to have a place that doesn't charge extra for after-hours visits. To make up for it, you do pay more here than at other vets; but for the convenience and the quality of care, I'm happy to pay it. more

Very expensive 2/7/2006

My dog received very good and comprehensive care on his visits, but on every visit we had to wait a VERY LONG time just to get into the exam room or visitation area. It was also very expensive, as the vet insisted on extra x-rays, antibiotics, etc. The vet even sold us the same antibiotics (with same dosage) twice! Good care, but out of my price range. PROS: Good care, large and modern facility CONS: Very big, busy, different vets every visit, super expensive! more

Some Great Vets- Horrible Owner 1/12/2006

I used Adobe Animal Hospital for 7 years and was very happy with my vet (Dr. Koga). They are a 24 hour hospital which is great--- and they have a vet for everything. However, recently, my dog acquired a yeast infection in his ear, and I wound up seeing Dr. Dave Roos, the owner of Adobe. Dr. Roos was rude, arrogant, unkind, and all in all, it was the worst veterinary experience of my life. He spent more time talking about his pilates, yoga, running, and how he looks 10 years younger than he is then he did touching or working with my dog. When the (VERY EXPENSIVE) medicine he perscribed didn't work on my dogs ears, and I asked if I could get another medicine he claimed "this medicine always works". On my 3rd visit, he claimed he couldn't see in my dogs ears cuz there was too much hair in his ears so I paid more money to knock my dog out and have his ears cleaned. Unfortunately, he only cleaned ONE ear and on my next visit, started yanking hair out of my dog's other sore ear-- in more

  • Adobe Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital located in Los Altos, Calif. It regularly treats dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and rats. It also treats the occasional sheep, goats, pigs, cows and alpacas. The hospital is equipped with diagnostic radiology (digital x-rays), an in-house diagnostic laboratory, endoscope and ultrasound machines, full dental services, computerized records system and an intensive care unit (ICU). Adobe Animal Hospital is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The hospital performs ultrasound and endoscopic examinations, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries for exotic animal species.
