I went to check out this fitness facility, as I was hoping to join a local gym. There are actually not many options in the area, but I was really surprised at how outdated this place was. For a single membership it is over $50 a month, too. That's a little high for a place that doesn't offer very many classes throughout the week and that has older equipment. I also inquired about military discounts, and there is no discount for Active Duty military (only for retired). There are discounts, however, for fire fighters, police officers, and students. When I asked about Active Duty military, I was told that they used to offter a discount, but it had become a ""big deal with some people."" I find it strange that discounts are offered for other service members (police, etc.), but not for military. There is really not much competition in town, so it's slim pickings. Still, I'd rather just work out at home.
