Ace Loans Pawn Shops

My husband and I have been dealing with Ace for roughly 15 years. While I do agree with bill h. about some of the clerks being rude, etc. ordinarily we've had great buying experiences. When we've had our eye on something, and it stays in the store for a good while (months) then usually they will entertain any offer that we make, and generally will negotiate with us. They have had some pretty rude clerks over the years and that is a chief complaint about this particular Ace, but all in all, we usually steer clear of those rudies. The manager is nice, always willing to deal, and I've not seen anything ""crooked"" about the store. I've never tried to sell anything but Gold there and generally will get about 10% LESS on my items than a specific GOLD and Silver place. I'd give it an A- on an overall score. more

CROOKS! Not only was the guy at the counter quite unfriendly...almost to the point of being rude, but I paid for my $102 purchase with 6 $20 bills and he claimed I only gave him 5 and said "you're good". I AM NOT STUPID I can count to 6...for cripes sakes I JUST withdrew the $120 from an ATM not 5 minutes prior (their CC machine was down supposedly...cash only, golly gee how convenient). When I disputed he conveniently pulled 5 $20 bills and counted them in front of me. Really now, gosh isn't that just clever. COUNT YOUR BILLS IN FRONT OF THE CLERK, or better yet just don't support these crooks and go somewhere else. They are overpriced anyway...just happened to have the exact model that I wanted. Next time I don't care what it is, NEVER EVER will I go here again. more
