Good: Honesly this place is a decent place to live. I have lived in a number of apartments and this one was the most friendly and safe. The area is very well lite at night so I always feel safe walking around. The maintenance staff is VERY friendly and he looks out for the tenants. He also fixes things in a very timely manner, which is awesome.. Bad: Nothings perfect so niether is Academy Woods. 1.) A couple neighbors have complained about the walls being paper thin. I haven't really had that problem with my side neighbors but my nieghbor above me- I can hear everything his does- even walking around. So its safe to assume he hears me. 2.) The laundry room here is horrible, even though they were replaced in 2008. They are ALWAYS out of order. Which I know is most likely tenant caused but its becomes annoying real quick.. Improvements: The laundry room could use some improvements. I would like to see bigger washers and dryers. I know they wanted to keep cost down (thank you!) but I think most of the damage is done because tenants over load the washers. Most people are used to filling normal size washers, these are super small almost mini in size. Forget washing a blanket! I would pay the extra $1 a load for regular size washer.. Other: I truely do love this place and I would highly recommend it to anyone!.
