keep looking for another massage program 1/13/2011

I realize there are a lot of good reviews about Abrams but that's probably because no one that has posted has had to be there for a 200 hour internship. The office is full of drama. Not to mention perverts which i had a problem with & it was not handled professionally at all. Dotti, the massage teacher shows movies as often as she can & only has 4 so be prepared to watch the same thing over & over. Plus she falls asleep during her own classes. Sorry if you already enrolled but if not I extremely recommend you keep looking more

Abrams College 7/19/2010

I have to say the one thing that made this college a great expierence was the Instructor Gail. I know that I succeeded because of her. She was so helpful, patient and understanding of our fears that I was at complete ease. She would explain things until we all got it. Hope you go to the college and have the same wonderful expierence I did. Pros: Great Instructor! Cons: Distance to drive. more

They told us what to expect before we signed up 5/4/2009

I took Phlebotomy class at Abrams College in March and I've already got my internship. Planning to take a national test this month. I didin't have to wait too long for my internship at all. I liked my teacher and school in general. The only drawback was that I had to drive about 40 min to my internship. I would be nice to go somewhere closer, but they tell you upfront what to expect . They told us how everything works before we signed up. The plus is that I was done really fast. For people that interested in going there I would say go and check it out. more

I am a Pharmacy Tech Graduate 5/3/2009

I am a Pharmacy Tech graduate. Just gratuated. Enjoyed the class. I am gonna start working at Longs in a couple of weeks. I think tuition is fair for sure and we were done with the class in 14 weeks. I just wish they had morning class for the whole course, it would work better for me personally. Other than that no complains. more

I had a good time 5/2/2009

I just finished my Medical Assistant t class. I am also done with my internship. Recieved all of my Certificates and ready to work.Instruction was great, I learned a lot in my class. People that work there are professional and helpful. The only thing I think they need to do better is to take trush out of classrooms more often. It would make a better impression. Pros: happy with instruction more

I was checking out some vocational colleges before I came to Abrams College. i was impressed how busy this place was for a small vocational school. Everybody was nice to me, teacher unswered my questions. i also checked out their classrooms . i did some research and found out that this school was around for about 14-15 years and ended up enrolling. Tition was fair and i liked the schedule.I graduated last month and applied with the Board of Pharmacy. I am happy with the school and very excited about startin a new career. more

I went to Abrams College to be a Registered Pharmacy Tech. It took me just 14 weeks from start to finish. I graduated just before holidays. I would recommend this school to other people because everything worked out for me. Schedule was nice as well as the class in general. Instructor made it easy to understand the subject, was very encouraging.Office staff was helpful as well. Every time I called my phone calls were returned right away and I always had my questions answered. All I can say is just if somebody would ask me I would recommend this school. more

Recommend 12/28/2008

I went to Abrams to get my EMT-1 Certification a few month ago. Enjoyed the class. I didn't have any medical training before taking this course and I learned a lot in 5 weeks. I also took this class because I wanted to see if I like medical field at the first place without spending too much time and money. I didn't want to spend months and months in class and a lots of money and then figure out that I don't like the field. That was one of the reasons why I went to this school. What I liked about the school is schedule, instructor was very good, we had enough equipment to practice, job placement assistance was available to us. School also has other programs to offer and I am considering taking Medical Assistant also. more

EMT 12/20/2008

I took their EMT-1 class. Very happy with the school. Instructor was knowledgable and I enjoyed the class overall. Passed my national registry first time. Class is just 5 weeks and I had to study really hard and pay attention in class, but it paid off after all. I don't know if they changed the schedule, back then it was Friday -Sunday, which was good for me. Exellent class.Guys,go check it out. Pros: schedule, great instructor more

I switched to Pharmacy Tech 12/17/2008

I graduated from Abrams College in 2007. Actually I came in with my friend to signed up for the Phlebotomy class, but after thinking it over switched to Pharmacy tech. Nothing was wrong . I just realized that phlebotomy wasn't for me . I've heard from other people that phlebotomy was a good career, but I felt it wasn't right for me personally. My friend ended up taking Phlebotomy . Switching classes wasn't a problem at all. They were very understanding at the school. As most of my classamtes I was able to keep my job, because the class schedule was so convinient. And also program was priced pritty good. Anyway, after I graduated from Abrams it took me about four weeks to get my registration number and I was on my way looking for a job as a pharmacy tech. I currently work as a pharmacy tech at the hospital which I am sooooooo happy about. I would definitely recommend this school to other people. Pros: liked their schedule, low tuition cost, program lenght more

Went to Abrams for Phlebotomy Certification 12/9/2008

I went to Abrams College for my phlebotomy certification six month ago and I am already working. What I liked about the class and school in general is location, class schedule was just perfect for me. I also had very good instructor and I was able to take my national at the school and didn't have to drive anywhere to take the test.. Other than that, I wish class size was a bit smaller, but maybe it's a good sign:) more

everything worked out for me 12/5/2008

I went to Abrams College last year to be a Pharmacy tech. Class was just 14 weeks and the schedule was pritty convenient also. Honestly, I was looking for a job for a couple of month. I didn't have any experience as a Pharmacy Tech , so I started as a clerk at Longs and after working for about four month they moved me up. As right now I work as a Pharmacy Tech. Everything worked out. When I signed up for the class they told me that they had job placement asistance. Wanna tell you YES they do and it helped me when I was looking for a job. Office staff tells you exactly what they can and can't do. My instructor was really good. He made it easy to understand the material and I learned a lot in my class. My advice is go check out the school, ask questions. People are very friendly out there. I think program is reasonably priced and I didn't have to spend a lot of time and money for my schooling. i just wanted to graduate and start working . By the way one of my friends is planning on starting Pharmacy Tech class . GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY:) Pros: PRICE, INSTRUCTOR, OFFICE STAFF,SCHEDULE more

Do your homework 12/4/2008

I was shopping around for a while before I made up my mind. Guys, do your homework, go check out the school for yourself. I did. Abrams College is a small school, but they are around for years. I learned a lot in my medical assistant class in a short time and the teacher was great. I just wish classes were a little bit longer. Office staff is very helpful. They know their stuff.I am looking forward to start a new career as a medical assistant and I am happy with choice I made. more

I took two classes at Abrams 11/29/2008

I went to Abrams College last year to become a Medical Assistant . Class was really nice and I came back this year to take Phlebotomy Certification. The fact that Tuition prices are reasonable allowed me to do that.I was interning at the nice hospital where everybody was very nice and patient with me. After I finished my internship I came back to my school and they told me what to do next and walked me through the paperwork . I also called a few times with some questions and it was always somebody to help me out . It made me fill that they care about students. I still work as a Medical Assistant, but my pay went up. I am happy about the career choice i made. No doubt in my mind.I am aslo sure I made a right decision picking the school. Pros: small class, schedule. tuition Cons: don't have any more

I had a good experience 11/28/2008

My friend told me about this school and I went to check it out. Person at the front desk was very friendly. She answered all of my questions and gave me a little tour, because I wanted to see the classrooms. I even had a chance to speak with the instructor. I ended up taking Pharmacy Tech class, graduated in August. It was sad to leave the school and I stop by from time to time just to say "" HI"". As right now I work as a Pharmacy Technician and truly enjoy my job. If you are thinking about taking a class go and check out Abrams College. Pros: helpful staff, tuition, class size, class times more
