Best

When i first saw their prices I was bit turned off. But I paid $4 for a mushroom slice and I was in heaven. It's not your run of the mill pizza. They put different kind sof cheese...

Worst

When the moon hits your eye.... like a big peee-zza pie..... That's amor-eeeee........ I love how colorful...

Best New York Style Pizza on the Westside! 11/13/2006

For thin-crust, fold-n-eat pizza, I have yet to find better than Abbot's. I would frequently walk down here from work and grab a slice to go. Their toppings are simple and straightforward but very very good. I'd like to order an entire pie from here sometime. more

Okay...overrated 11/5/2006

i think its just ok...they very creative pizzas to choose from which is fun. But, i think its overrated and expensive. more

Good Pizza, Good music, Good Service, and great atmosphere 7/25/2006

This place is GREAT!! and the bagel crust is also really good. This place has ecclectic feel to it. There is always music playing and 9 times out of 10 the employees are singing along with it. I work down the street 2 to 3 nights a week and always make sure i get to work early so i can stop by and have a slice or 2. BIG portion small price when you buy by the slice. They have combinations that you would never think of including SALAD PIZZA for you health nuts! My favorites?? Wild Mushroom, Bar-B-Que chicken pizza and chicken sausage, mushroom and extra cheese. Pros: good pizza, great atmosphere, great service Cons: its a small place, and the line is usually about 4 to 5 deep at any given time more

Dry pizza with low flavor. 7/20/2006

I don't know what the draw is. I went there and the pizza was dry with low flavor. Very over rated. more

Brilliant 7/3/2006

This might be the best pizza in the world. From the crust to the toppings, if you love pizza, you can't go wrong here. more

Zagat obviously didn't try the pizza I bought! 6/16/2006

Decided to come after hearing several rave reviews. Ordered a whole pizza for takeout, and brought it home to enjoy. Unfortunately, the pizza was burned and the recommended bagel crust was so hard, we couldn't eat it. How utterly disappointing. My suggestion? Before leaving, check your pie (yes, turn the slice over) to ensure it isn't blackened and inedible. more

The Best! 5/3/2006

This place has the best pizza in LA hands down! That's all there is to say! Eat there whenever you're near Venice. more

Good Pizza for LA 3/30/2006

Good variety of pizzas. Good quality topping. They use generous amounts of toppings. The bread they use is excellent. Lines for a slice can be very long. I haven't had better pizza in LA. Pros: toppings, location Cons: lines, delivery is spotty more

Stale bad pizza 3/29/2006

Maybe it was an offnight, but Abbott's Pizza seems past its prime. The pizza was stale & looked & tasted like it had been sitting around a while. more

Absolutely the best in the west! 3/28/2006

This small place and the larger one on Pico Blvd serves the best pizza I have ever tasted. The slices are large and have a huge amount of extras on each slice. They deliver quickly. The ingedients are all top quality and the staff are extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place for the best pizza you can have. Pros: great taste, large slices, quality ingredients more

Not at all good pizza or service! Honestly! 3/15/2006

I am now working near this business. One of the managers thought it would be a good idea to order from Abbott's Pizza but he was wrong. The pizzas did not taste good and our staff did not like it. They took way to long and we will never order from here again even through they are very close by!\r \r \r This pizza was not full of fresh toppings. Abbot's Pizza in Venice California really has a lot to learn about making even a reasonable pizza and treating customers with general kindness. First the quality of their product is sub par. They have very little sauce, very little toppings, very little crust, and even when I ordered extra cheese and sauce there was less than ANY pizza I had tasted before. Also they charged me quite a bit extra for it. Service was overly slow and I do not mean a few minutes late. They promised 45 minutes and they took way over 2 hours to deliver the pizza. When I called after an hour and a half to find out what happened they just hung up on me and said they were closed! I have ordered pizza all over the United States and I will NEVER order or pay for pizza from this company ever again. Do not be fooled by the advertising, this place will not deliver a product woth any price. Local friends in Venice Beach have ordered from this place recently and every time they are late, rude, and every time I remind them of why I will never order from Abbot's Pizza on Abbot Kenny. They have never said ""sorry"" for being late, rude, over charging customers, or making people wait too long for poor quality pizza. Pros: No pros - they are not even nice on the phone. Cons: Bad Customer service, they can not add up the bill, they are slow, they have very few toppings. more

Best Pizza Around 2/17/2006

Best pizza you'll ever eat. Great price, overall rating A+ more

It's the BEST gourmet pizza! 1/11/2006

If you are tired of tomato-based pizzas, try the Popeye's with chicken. You won't be sorry and you will never go back to your old favorite, because this one is IT! Pros: best flavors, best value, best neighborhood Cons: no salads more

What's the hype? 12/15/2005

Having just moved here from Boston - which isn't the pizza capital of the world by any stretch by has plenty of gems - I was really disappointed when I finally tried this pizza. I've had better out of a grocer's freezer. Cardboard stiff, slightly burnt, not so generous toppings... an all around disappointment. The only upside is that it's a cute little joint. more

Are the positive reviewers employees? 11/7/2005

Because the pizza sure tastes that way. Black burnt crust, the meat pizza that I ordered had sliced hot dog on the top. Worst pizza ever. Seems to be a trendy place for scenesters, product is secondary. Pros: Abbott Kinney Blvd, People watching Cons: Food more

yummy! 10/23/2004

Let's just say that I'm not a pizza enthusiast (I like almost all companies), but Abbot's is an interesting find. The slices are large and inexpensive (about $3/slice) and they use quality ingredients. It's also great for vegetarians since there are many non-meat options and combinations. The bagel crust is unique (at least to me, a native Californian) and tasty. I like the Greek pizza (red onions, spinach, tomatoes, feta, mozzarella) - pretty fesh tasting. The Venice location is pretty cramped, though, and there seems to always be a line (short or long). However, the pizza is better and not as greasy as larger chains. Pros: veggie options, inexpensive, can purchase slices more

I am not sold , yet. 10/16/2004

Again with the New Yorkers and their pizza....... Maybe it was me, but the pizza bottom was a bit on the burnt side. It was kind of like eating burnt toast. The bagel crust was a nice departure from most other pizza joints. A nice variety of toppings is a plus. I will give this place another chance. more

mmmm...pizza. 5/12/2004

The guy above who was saying Abbot's does not have good pizza is completely delusional...I've lived in NYC, Miami and L.A. and I'm somewhat of a pizza connoiseur, I can safely say Abbot's is amongst the best pies in all of L.A. The bagel crusts are phenomenal. The Spicy Chicken and BBQ chicken are two of my favorites. I work down the street from Abbot's and I still find myself going there quite often. What it lacks in atmosphere, it more than makes up for in taste. Highly reccommended... Pros: L.A.'s best slice more

What a Dive! 2/15/2004

I'm not sure how the heck this place even got on the ""best"" list. Parking is the pits (find a place on the street if you're lucky). I walked through the door and it has to be the grungiest eating place I have ever been in. I saw the pieces of pizza that people were eating and the bottoms look burnt black. There was counter space seating for about 10 people total along the wall to the right and the left of the eating area which couldn't have been more than 15' x15'. I was looking forward to a great pizza dinner and my wife and I just turned around and walked back out of this place. What a dump! Pros: None that I could see Cons: , atmosphere, seating area more

Fabulous 1/18/2004

I must say that this is definitely in my top 5 pizza list. I love the varieties of toppings they offer. I usually don't care for the pizza crust... but Abbot's makes it almost like a bagel's. Definitely try their mushroom/spinach pizza. It's a knockout. 2 slices is enough for the big pizza eater. Pros: Toppings, Crust, Price Cons: Parking, it's Venice, Beach of course. more
