Abari Orthodontics

I am glad i took both of my daughters to the same orthodontist I had 15 years ago. Dr Abaris website was so informational, and when I found he was still practicing I was ecstatic! My dentist of 25 years referred me to Dr Abari originally. The funny thing is, Dr Abari looks exactlly the same. My girls felt just as comfertable as I did when I had my braces. Im very glad to say Dr. Abari and his stuff blew me away with the hi-technology brackets they use and wires. A previous orthodontist we had seen, close to my house that we happened to see a sign for, quoted us 1 THOUSAND dollars more for EACH of my girls and wanted to take out 4 teeth in each of them. (not to mention I would have to pay the cost of tooth removal from our dentist) When I went back to my dentist to make sure tooth removal was ok for braces HE TOLD ME HECK NO!! and thats when he mentioned Dr Abari.. I thought WOW!! He must really like Dr Abari if he has been referring to him this long!! Both my girls have award winning smiles now Just like their MOM!! :) Great office to go to. Everyone should atleast go for a consultation. My Consutlation lady was Edna. She was GREAT!!! ** more

I was recommended by several families to this office. My child received a consultation of >$6k due to the supposed requirement of specialty braces. This amount also included an unnecessary retainer fee of $750. Additionally, Dr. Abari said one tooth needs to be extracted. The doctor had spent less than ten minutes describing the treatment to us and then excused himself. Then the "sales consultant" reviewed the contract details with us and offered a discount if I had signed immediately. I refused the offer because I felt uneasy and pressured as if I was buying a car. Afterwards, I was hit with followup phone calls to book the initial appointment. But I did not "bite." I did obtain two other consultations. Both doctors stated no tooth required extraction. These treatment costs were lower by $1k to $2k. One office included a retainer fee of $650 and the other office did not. Again, I did not bite. So the phone calls ensued. This process of finding a fair and competent orthodontist is quite frustrating. Doctors appear to have succumbed to the pressures of maintaining a business. Their priority is $$$ and not the patient's welfare. This office has an oral maxillofacial surgeon in San Dimas. I would not recommend the office either. more

31/2 years and 2 phases (what a rip off) later and not one person in that office would even know my daughter's name! They were vague about phase 2 and the total cost of treatment when we signed up. I regretted going with this ortho, but I felt stuck once we started treatment. The only time I spoke with the actual doctor was when I was upset about a mistake they made. One of the assistants working on my daughter actually told her (she was 10!) that if she didn't brush better, she would cry because nobody would want to be her boyfriend because she would have ugly teeth! Can you imagine? All they did after that was put his name on her chart as not able to work on her. Come to find out, he worked on her again! They are NOT friendly, high priced, and high pressure. I will not take my son there for sure. Don't believe your dentist, if they recommend Dr. Abari...they likely get money for all referals. GO ELSEWHERE! more

I brought my two kids in for consults and was not happy with the service. I felt they were trying to sell me from the second I got in. I mean, they were selling hard! They were very pushy for me to sign the paperwork, and I barely got to see the doctor. It is like they didn't care about my kids, they only cared about my money. I would not recommend this place to anyone. In fact, if you love your kids you would take them elsewhere! more

I was recommended to this orthodontist from our dentist. My daughter just finished the first phase. She was only seen by Will for couple times, most of the visits were done by assistants. Their sales woman were just EVIL. HIGH PRESSURE, VERY MEAN, RUDE, and OVER ALL VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. We were sold by their so call Their Philosophy, TRY not to pull any teeth. After couple visits, we had some question, and I asked the assistant, and were told if they can not fix it, we can always pull the teeth out later. There was one time the braces came loose, and it was poking my daughter's mouth, and it was bleeding. I called in and explained the situation. I was told there was no appointment for 10 days. WHAT A JOKE. At the end of phase 1, we went back for the final appointment. They try to force me to sign up for their phase 2. I asked them about price, they said, an X-ray is needed to quote a price. I said they have worked on my daughter's braces for the past 18 month, they should know what is needed. The saleswoman said, O, those records were too old, and X-Ray would cost us over $200,(which no other orthodontist do not charge). Then she gave me the same sales pitch I had 2 years ago. And they will not do take the retainer out if we choose not to do the 2nd phase with them. Suddenly she gets very rude. I mean she was VERY RUDE. VERY VERY RUDE. I choose walk out and I am not looking back. If you do not care about your child's feeling, give them your business. more

I have never been to an office where the staff was so so friendly! Dr. Abari and his staff make you feel right at home and are always smiling. I never felt bad when I would call with questions about my braces or when I broke my wires. The original office was in a fire so visits were in a small office, but they quickly relocated to a bigger one and still kept on being positive. I recommend this office for your orthodontic needs. Super friendly and now I have the perfect smile to show for it and it took only 11 months! more
