Here's now this went down. We normally enjoyed our experience at South Hills bowling. Some of the people were really nice, others were a little aloof, but no big deal. It served beer, which is more than you can say for Buffaloe Lanes, or however you spell it. So, we joined a league, namely the 12X12 league on Tuesdays, which gives you a free ball and T-shirt. Now, you can either spend 12 a week for 12 weeks or spend 42 the first week and ten the rest and get your ball early (week 4). Normally you would think league members would be treated better than the other people, since you're giving them your money every week. Not so here. First of all, most of the people who joined our league didn't show up, so our league got absorbed by another league. This was the first week. The second week they tried to get us to move lanes three times, including when we were halfway through the third game of three to accommodate another league. Then the third week, we were notified that our starting time was moved from 7 pm to 6:20 pm in order to accommodate that same league. Throughout these three weeks, a guy named Chris was supposed to be on top of our league. My girlfriend prepaid to get the ball on week four, which if you do the math costs 8 extra bucks in order for the convenience of obtaining the ball early. He didn't have her give him the information for the ball until week three. Now comes week four. Now, throughout this entire process, the people in charge of this league never mentioned the cost of drilling. Come to find out, after she had the ball drilled, that it costs $30. Not only that, but it took an hour and a half to get the ball drilled. This was the worst experience I could have ever experienced for my first league. I would recommend never joining a league here if you want value for the money you're spending. Horrible customer service.
Pros: Okay if you're not in a league
Cons: If you're in a small league, they treat you like trash
