Editorial review from Citysearch 9/6/2012

I have gone to this theater twice and have had really good experiences both times. \r \r The staff has always been quick to bring us our food/drinks and the seats in the suite theaters are really comfortable. I've almost fallen asleep during a movie because they were so comfortable! \r \r The only downfall of this place is that due to the dining experience you will hear people talking through most of the movie, which is why I would recommend only going for movies that aren't so serious (like comedy, action, or horror). Even with the expected chatter, I still feel this is better than dealing with kids on their cell phones sitting right next to you. The seats are spaced out well enough that even if people are talking, it is more of a low muttering sound instead of the 'right in your ear' sound you get in a regular theater. \r \r The food is good and it's great for a night out where you want to watch a good movie, have a few beers and enjoy some good food. I have never tried the entrees but the queso blanco nachos and parm fries were both great to snack on during a movie. It feels like a more adult movie experience. more

Needs to be reassessed 1/17/2012

I've been going to this dine in theater since the day it opened. I've been very disappointed at how unkempt it has become. I was very excited to have a dine in theater in the neighborhood and now it has become very dirty and understaffed. I really want to continue to enjoy the theater but I don't know how much longer I can deal with how dirty it is. The staff is handling too many patrons at one time and the quality of the theater suffers. more

It Tries, but doesn't deliver 12/22/2010

The concept for the renovated theatre was a good one, but it falls very short. I've been several times and I enjoyed it, as long as there were only 3 people in the theatre just after it opened back up. Even then, the meal service at the seats was slow. Now that there are people coming, the staff is not ready. The management has not trained the staff well and it takes a long time to get served. One night, I waited for 30 minutes before I had to finally get up and find someone to help me. Tonight, I waited 45 minutes before someone took my order, then it was almost an hour into the movie and still hadn't gotten my order - not even a coke. It wasn't an anomaly either, the experience has been consistently bad. If that wasn't enough, the crowd has NOT changed from the crowd that went there before. Very low class and talks throughout the entire movie. The dining atmosphere only perpetuates the chatter. There were 4 couples around me who never stopped talking. This has always been a problem with this theatre due to the people they attract. I think I'll forgo the dining experience and go back to East Hanover where people are more considerate of others who actually WANT to watch the movie. Horrible experience. I do not recommend this theatre! In summary: 1. Staff is not trained well for serving customers. 2. My experience with bar staff has not been good. Not trained. 3. Service is extremely slow and distracting when watching the movie. 4. Clientele of the theatre remains the same as the old theatre - rude and inconsiderate (talking incessantly, texting, emailing, on the phone) more
