Great Great Great...Had an early morning flight and with bad experiences with cabs in the past, I was really worried. Mike the driver showed up early and patiently waited and then helped load / unload our luggage. We made it to the airport on time and for once was happy with the use of a taxi cab... I recommend this taxi to everyone needing any kind of transportation... more

Called them to drive me 7.5 miles to Harris Corporation. I asked him to wait ~5 minutes, at $0.50/min. The driver was wearing a ratty white T-shirt and jeans with a large brown stain down the right leg. His pregnant girlfriend was in the car. The cab was dirty, with cigarette burns and debris all over. The steering wheel had black tape all over it, as if it had been in an accident and the air bag had deployed. Me: ""Do you take credit cards? Him: ""No, the machine is broken."" Me: ""Okay, but we'll have to stop by an ATM."" We drove to an ATM and continued to Harris. It was $29.10. I gave him $40, and asked for $5 back. Him: ""I don't have change."" Me: ""Okay. What am I supposed to do about that?"" Him: ""You could just give me the $40."" Me: ""No. The fare is $29.10, and I'm only asking for $5 back."" Him: ""I told you. I don't have change. You can just give me the $40."" Me: ""That's not my problem. It's not my responsibility to provide you with the exact fare. It's your responsibility to make change, especially when you won't take credit cards."" Him: ""I'll just take this, and you can follow me to the gas station for change."" Me: ""You're kidding me? I have other things to do other than following you around because you couldn't bring enough cash to give change, and I am not letting you keep my $40. I'll give you $29.10, and that is all you're getting."" Him: ""I have to get change."" Me: ""Fine. Give me my $40, then we'll go get change."" He still had the meter on. ""I will give you $29.10 and that's it."" He gave me a dirty look and turned the meter off. We drove to Walgreens. His girlfriend gave him $20. He got change and wanted me to give him his money. Me: ""No. I'm not giving you anything until I'm at my destination."" He gave me a dirty look, then drove back. I gave him $40, he gave me $11. Him: ""Get out of my car, ****."" Me: ""What? You're ticked at me because I made you get change? You're an *******!"" I opened the door and put one leg out. His girlfriend: ""You're a *****!"" Him: ""Get out of my car before I beat your ***!"" Me: ""You can't talk to people like that!"" Him: ""I can say anything I want, *****."" He stomped on the gas, jerking the car forward while I'm half out the door. Me: ""What the **** are you doing?"" Him: ""I told you to get out of my car, ****!"" Me: ""I'm going to make sure your manager knows about this."" His girlfriend: ""Go ahead. We own the company."" Me: ""Then I'll find every web site with reviews and make sure everyone knows what a ****** cab company this is."" They continued their tirade, threatening to ""beat my ***"", etc. His girlfriend even stepped out of the car. Me: ""You can't just threaten people. I'll call the cops."" Him: ""What can you prove?"" He looks at his girlfriend. ""She's threatening us, isn't she, Honey?"" He looks back at me. ""See? You can't prove anything."" I started dialing the cops, and they took off. Harris security arrived to take a statement. They are prohibited from Harris campus. The police arrived. I gave them a statement. I knew there was little they could do, but I wanted it on record. When the cab came back over an hour later, the cops took explained it's not a customer's responsibility to provide exact fare, giving him two $20 bills was not unreasonable, and customers have no obligation to ""follow"" him anywhere so he can get change. They inspected his licenses and sent him on his way. I was told that he had a couple of minor violations, not including this incident. more
