We read about the shop online and decided to take our truck there for an engine overheating problem. They stayed beyond the working hours to wait for us, which was great. They also stayed late to wait for us to pick up the truck after its being fixed. However, we are still trying to understand their pricing system. On the phone we were told that it would have cost $180 to change a heater hose which was leaking causing the loss of coolant and thus the engine overheating. They even told us it was a minor issue. We decided to go ahead and also add the oil change into the service. However, when we were there to pick it up, the price became over $300. As it turned out, the difference mostly came from the test to discover the problem, which, according to their customer review, should be part of the repair, not in addition to it, as long as we choose to have the vehicle repaired at their own shop. We asked for a discount, the shop reluctantly gave us $30 off, but it was still far from the $95 they charged us for the test, which according to our mechanic friends, is excessive, especially when the problem is so minor. So all in all, we feel overcharged, even though their service is fairly good, and may not return to the shop in the future. This is unfortunate because most our our vehicles are GM and Chev and they will need regular service and repair. So we are still looking for a mechanic shop for our four vehicles!
