I called this company to move me from Hobart to Indianapolis. I was asked if I could do Friday and I was told if I went with Friday that I would get a 10% discount. I was told that I had to pay a $100 deposit and I was fine with that I was told the $100 would be deducted from the overall fee. With unforeseenen circumstances, I was not able to move as planned on Friday. I tried calling the company on Thursday evening and this company had no voicemail so I kept calling in the morning hoping I would catch the movers before they arrived at my house because I wanted to be CONSIDERATE. The movers were scheduled to be at my house at 8AM. at 7:45 I was able to get someone and the guy/mover was rude! He said I would lose out on the deposit and I stated why, no one had done anything. I said I still wanted to use them because I still had to move and all he did was yell at me. If this business was so hard up for $100 then by all means keep it! They would have made more money on a long distance trip had they let me explain my circumstance that did not allow me to move on that Friday. You have lost me as a customer and I hope charma comes back and bites you. This company needs to learn how to talk with people and understand that things happen. I didn't wait for the compay to arrive at my house to tell them plans had changed, I called them at the company. I did say I wanted to use them again and he stated that what do I tell my movers which would have been him and 1 other guy. I told him to say things happen and he was ""RUDE"" and to top it off hung up on me. I wished I didn't call them and let them come all the way to my house in Highland. That's what I should have done, but I'm not rude like them. No one said my deposit was non refundable and I don't understand how the guy would get all bent out of shape if he didn't do 'ANYTHING'!!!!! So enjoy the free $100 and I hope you lose business! It's not good business practice to make your customer's feel like crap, yell at them, hang up on them, and steal their money. A-Line Movers suck and I'm sorry I even called them at all. $100 is a lot of money to lose and you could have still taken that off on the next scheduled move date for me. Again, no one told me this was non-refundable!!! I should have received a thank you for calling you and not letting you drive all the way to my house, so thanks for yellling! Next time listen and be a bit more understanding!!!
