Our many years in the turf business have found it best to use a multiple variety seed that is also tested for purity and cleanliness. Our sun sod mix has 5 different blends of bluegrass in it. This is ideal for areas that receive 3 hours or more of direct sunlight per day. This sod is suitable for normal lawn use. Both of our sod types are harvested with our automatic self-stacking harvester. The pallets produced by this machine cut 2ft by 6ft rolls and stack 64 rolls per pallet.
Years ago sod for shade didn't exist; today we offer a shade sod suitable for areas that receive 1-3 hours of sunlight per day. This blend has 3 different varieties of fescue rasses, which are specifically designed for shady areas. Keep in mind if you desire to purchase shade sod it is harvested by appointment only and requires a non-refundable, pre-payment with a credit card. s mentioned above, the rolls are cut 2ft by 6ft and stack 64 rolls per pallet.
