After the crazy storm that hit the Phoenix area, there was plenty of hail damage to my car, this is the story... -October 29th, 2010: I go to A&D Auto Body they give me an estimate on the hail damage, length of repair (5 days), and the insurance company approves it. They said the dents would be fixed without replacing anything and set my appointment for November 29th. -November 29th, 2010: Take the car in to the body shop. -December 2nd, 2010: This is the 4th day the body shop has had my car, and I call to check on the progress. An employee tells me that they can't fix the car without replacing the hood and the roof. Now wait! what happened to not replacing anything? Why didn't you people call to tell me this info? -December 4th, 2010: Call again to find out how long it is going to take to get my car back. Again the employee, explains that the parts have been ordered, and that they are going to have to keep the car until the 24th! --Now if you ask me, this is bull****! The idiots at this body shop don't know how to give estimates! If they did know what they were doing, they would have ordered, and had the parts waiting for the car on the 29th, the day of the appointment. These people had 4 weeks! I don't get my car back until the 29th now. more

incompitent techs working on your car 2/17/2009

My car was taken to A&D as a result of a car accident in Jan 2007. A&D is the body shop for American Family insurance. They recomended A&D. The car was determined to have over $5000 in damage and was not considered a total loss. A&D was directed by American Family to repair the car. After 61 days of the car being in the possesion of A&D it was determined to be a total loss. The reason given was parts were not avaialble. The car was a 2006 KIA. It was later disscovered that the parts buying person for A&D was ordering parts for the wrong car. A&D did not know how to order the right parts. As a result I had a rental car for 61 days and the max the insurance would cover was 21. As a result I had to pay $1100. out of my pocket for the rental only to not even get my car back. Anybody who puts there trust in A&D should be prepared for incompitent techs working on their cars. Pros: close to home Cons: Can't order parts correctly more
