3 Boys has three stores and I shop at all 3. In addition to their store on MLK, there's also one in downtown St. Johns and one on 117th and SE Stark. The Stark Store is my favorite.
Three boys has a long history of providing discount food and sundries to Portlanders. With ties to the former Sue Bee's in Southeast Portland and the former Bee Company in North Portland, the collective management experience expands over decades.
One thing I especially appreciate about 3 Boys is that they are a loyal employer. Several of their employees have been part of their service staf through many transformations and that loyalty shows in their knowledge of the company and their customers.
Their offerings are as diverse as their locations. Think "Trader Joes" at 1/2 the cost and twice the finds! On Saturday in their St. John's store I found canned escargot in-shells for $2.95 and I found a wide variety of Atkins products as well as giant No. 10 cans of Hershey's syrup for just $4.95. At their Stark street store, they also have a fresh fruits and vegetables stand with great local produce at reduced prices.
Have a gormet meal coming up? This is the place to find the best gourmet noodles for just $1.00 for THREE packages and at the same time get some apple jacks for the kid's breakfast for 79 cents.
