My daughter's laptop was accidentally knocked onto the floor. Afterwards, we could tell the computer was booting up, but the display was damaged and so no picture. The laptop?s warranty has expired. The vendor quoted a price of $400 to repair the display and needed us to ship the laptop to them. I got the part number of the display and purchased it online from 247 Laptop LCD - it has the same street address as 247 Laptop Repair - for $131.98. The price included display ($99.00), mandatory insurance ($2.99), and Overnight Flat Rate Shipping ($29.99). Standard shipping would have been $15.98, but we needed it sooner. I placed the order Friday evening and received a verification email almost immediately. Before the night was over, I received another email stating that the order had been shipped. Following the instructions (with pictures) posted on their website, in less than 15 minutes I had removed the damaged display from the laptop. The new display arrived Monday morning securely packaged inside an anti-static bag and bubble-wrapping inside a box. Reversing the order of the instructions, my son and I installed the display in about a half hour. The display worked the first time the laptop was turned on. The display shows the images beautifully. This vendor, aka Bliss Computers, had received 4.5 out of 5 stars from Google Checkout Reviews. Knowing that, along with the fact that they provided instructions with pictures, and of course, the price, is why I decided to try them in spite of not being able to reach someone by phone. They do have voicemail and email, though. They may have already been closed for the day because their time zone is one hour ahead of mine. To sum it all up, item was in stock, shipped the same day, arrived as scheduled in excellent condition, fit the laptop perfectly, and works great. This was our first attempt at repairing a laptop display. We couldn't be happier with the outcome of this project.
