212 motoring on staten island is horrible. i went there to have them install a cold air intake, so they brought my car around the back , called the guy that i was talking to into the back closed the door so i couldnt see anything and when they were done they told me they could only set it up as a short ram and not cold air, because my pipes are too big and i bought the wrong kit, they took the lazy cheap way out and charged me 80$. yesterday i installed the cold air intake the correct way took out everything installed it down beneath my fender the way it should be, am i a mechanic? no im a 17 year old whos never done work to a car before and i did a better job than their red neck mechanic. more

Wow, this place sure changed. I have gone to this place for the last 8 years. It changed ownership in the last year or two and know sure how to lose a customer. I would never give them my business again. The last 10 cars I had tinted there all got 3M tint. Today they told me they never used 3M since they have the business and only use Johnson. Johnson is a good tint but 3M is much better, clearer and cost more money for a tinting business to buy. But that is the least of what happened here. First off all the cars I had tinted here I always tint the sunroof and never pay any upcharges. Today the owner wanted to charge me $80 more to tint the sunroof. The other thing that happened here is I always for the last 8 years pay cash and I tax is included in my bill. Well the owner wants to cry how legitmate his business is and even with cash I had to pay tax. Wow. What happened to this place. And to make a long story short the tinting person did a wonderful job (3hrs to do) on tinting my windows. But the Johnson compared to the 3M is a very noticeable differerence. It is not as clear and does not look as good. When I told the owner of this place he just lost a customer, he told me I am not his customer, because his customers pay tax. There is no 212 Motoring at 1766 Hylan, the guy who wrote the bad review has the wrong store. The real 212 Motoring on 2018 Hylan has a great staff, they are made up of several different ethnic people and are extremely helpful and professional in their field. I found the installers to be top notch and did a very clean job. if you are looking for a custom car shop with good prices and excellent installers i would recommend 212 MOTORING more

Tried dealing with the fact that they were racially discriminating. Then again they decided to fry my carputer. Clearly did not know what they were doing. They only do good service to high paying customers such as movie stars rappers and such. The rest get the worst possible. No care for their work at all. Used very cheap wiring terminals. Cut the wrong wires on my car I have adhesive tape everywhere on my 2009 nissan altima. They keep hush hush about what they do wrong. Its not a good place to go. Try island sound but even their prices are crazy. more
