I have heard mixed reviews about this company as well. I am always weary of services that charge by the hour. Look for a cleaning service that does it for a flat fee, that way they dont try to get you for more hours! Try Gotham Green Cleaning - they have flat fee rates and they are organic and green! more

not thorough, overpriced 5/13/2012

headline says it all- they ask you how many hours you need... how should i know??? the amount they cleaned in 4 hours was totally unacceptable, left many surfaces untouched and charged over 100 more

Extremely disappointing 2/6/2012

We had a disappointing experience with the cleaners, who were more interested in getting us to buy more hours than actually cleaning. When we refused, they slowed down and didn't complete even a basic cleaning. They did a lousy job and I think it was a waste of money. more

Worst Cleaning Company Ever 12/6/2011

I used this company for a 'move-in clean' based on a recommendation from my broker. They were scheduled to do a 'deep cleaning' of my house, refrigerator and stove pre move-in (i.e. there was no furniture). I have a lot of custom cabinets/shelves in my kitchen, living room and bedroom which was one of the reasons I specifically wanted to hire a professional cleaning company. They charged me over $600 for 3 people to clean for 6-7 hours each. When I returned there was old food in the refrigerator (all they had done was wiped a wet rag on the shelves), dustballs in the cabinets (they hadn't even attempted to clean all those shelves!) and a dirty/greasy stove (you could literally see the old grease and just to prove a point there were old french fries in the bottom of the stove!). It was awful. I had to call and have the manager come back to do the cleaning himself! Even he admitted he was apalled at what was neglected. Worse part is, they wouldn't refund part of what I paid (because I had to clean all those shelves myself since I was moving and unpacking the next day which was a weekend and I couldn't have someone back until the next week). more

RESPONSIBLE, RELIABLE 6/5/2010

NY Brite was referred to me by a realtor who has used them before. I am always skiddish when using a new cleaning service -- I've had many bad experiences. The doorbell rang at 9 am, right on time..a young well groomed and polite young man appeared and introduced himself. I showed him around my apartment and where the cleansers were located...He immediately went to work. I originally scheduled him for 5 hours, but the apartment hadn't been cleaned in a while and he was so thorough and quick that I decided to keep him longer to work on areas that I was going to tackle myself. It turned out to be a total of 9 hours. I had to practically push him out the door to get a bite to eat or he would have worked straight through wit hout a break.Expensive but worth every dollar. Easy to work wtih and they do a good job 6/3/2010

Have been using them for years. Love the flexibility and consistency. Really like that I can set appointments or change things via email. Have never had any problems and if they run out of something they just buy it and ask you to pay for it next time. Highly recommend. More than a decade of excellent service 5/31/2010

I've used NY Brite for more than 10 years and have been consistently pleased. My apartment looks great after every biweekly cleaning (if only I could keep it that way!), and they are meticulous about calling or e-mailing whenever there's a change. In those years they have sent four or five cleaners and they have all been good, although I think the latest, Lusia, takes the cake. I always find these little extra, unexpected things she cleans or organizes. I also appreciate that you can e-mail any special instructions and they make sure they are translated for any staff for whom English isn't a first language. I have worked with this company for over10 years. They have worked both in my home and in my office. They have always provided excellant work and their employees have always been polite and easy to work with. I have always found them to be trustful and have never had any difficulties with them. Reliable and Energetic Cleaners 5/30/2010

We have used NY Brite for four years as our regular condo cleaning service, every 2 weeks. Over that time period, we have had 4 different cleaners and each one has been very good and has honored any special requests. I hardly ever have a suggestion or a question afterwards. I am usually at home working in another room, so I often interact in conversation, and feel I have gotten to know my gal or guy pretty well. Very nice, refined and interesting folks. My present cleaner is a guy, Scott, and he is superb! ... and a big soccer fan, like me. Pros: Well trained, conscientious cleaners Cons: $95 for 3 hours more

Awesome green cleaning 5/10/2010

Last week I ordered NY Brite cleaning company, my friend had been using them for a while, and recommended it. At first I wasn't sure I should get a company to clean, but than it was my wife's birthday and I wanted to surprise her... We have an all ""green clean apartment"" so I wasn't sure they can do that, but they did said all their workers are trained in green cleaning so, I gave it a try. I did want them to bring the supplies themselves but the price was a little to pricey for me... I mean $65 for supplies? So I just got their list of green supplies, and bought some to have. The cleaner arrived 5 min. late but was so good. Her name was Maria I think, and she was so great, she did everything! Our apartment never looked better. She even cleaned the window sills, windows, did the laundry and folded everything like it was the GAP! Was totally worth the price ($115 for the 4 hours she was there). And was a very happy birthday for my wife... Eladder. Pros: great cleaning Cons: supplies charges more

good cleaning and reliable service 2/22/2010

I used this cleaning service before and always felt that they did a good job, and I could trust their workers with my home, belongings and my dog! Last month, they arrived 15 min late, which caused me bit of stress, but when they arrived they quickly went to work... when I arrived home, I found my house very clean and they even did some shelf organizing that I did not expect them to do. Overall, I would recommend this cleaning service for busy New Yorkers...and the supervisors and managment of the company are people I trust. more

Excellent client service! I've used NYBRITE consistently for almost two years. I've been very satisfied with the quality of the cleaning, and the responsiveness of the company. They're professional and reliable,also a representative comes over to do a free consultation before the first cleaning. The best cleaning i got! 2/13/2010

Wow! today I had the first cleaning with NY Brite!! I am amazed! I got it as a gift card from my friend. I called yesterday and they schedule me for the morning after! They left few hours ago and I just had to write a review as soon as possible! Everything is clean! The floors, the bathroom and showers are sparkling! the grout around the tiles! I am so happy! And the lady who came was very nice and polite. I highly recommend this service and I am sure I will keep on using them in the future! more

Quality and professionalism in cleaning!!!! 2/12/2010

NY brite cleaning company provides a great service throughout the entire year. Starting in the spring with a deep and detailed cleaning of the entire apartment, including organizing and refreshing closets, putting away winter wardrobe and collecting heavy dust, I am always happy to enjoy first days of warmth and sun in my great looking and clean apartment. Then, after the season of hard work and running around, I am more than grateful to see again how professional and nice my cleaning crew is. And once again, when the summer turns to the end, and the time to go back to school comes, I cannot imagine my place without calling NY brite! It is not only the quality of offered services, but also kindness and sympathy that comes from people employed at NY brite. You have got to love that clean feeling! 2/2/2010

Oh well, I hate cleaning, and had been looking for a regular service for a while. All the cleaning ladies I have met, were not reliable. The one I actually haired ran off after 2 month to meet her family somewhere. But finally, I found Brite, I replaced the cleaning ladies twice until I got Maria, they were OK with it, she is amazing! Now I have her come every other week, and I know someone is responsible for her coming every time. Pros: Great service! Cons: To get my favorite cleaner I had to call a week in advance.. more

Great job! 2/2/2010

I am very impressed with the cleaning I received by NY Brite. I had the deep cleaning service this past Monday and it was terrific. The blinds and doors look like new. I don't know how they cleaned it so well - I couldn't :). I was surprised the smaller appliances like the coffee maker and toaster oven were also cleaned nicely. I was not considering a continuous service before but after my first service with them, I have joined on a bi-weekly cleaning service. more

The one constant thing. 2/1/2010

These guys are great. They leave my place tidy and spotless, but without making me feel invaded. They clean thoroughly without messing up your stuff. And I feel totally confident about having over when I'm out, so that I get to come home to a spotless apartment. Fantastic. Pros: Trustworthy Cons: Haven't come across any so far more

Love the clean feeling! 11/9/2009

I have a tiny tiny apartment, I was looking for someone to clean it for a while, I have been so busy and it is a mess. I called different companies, but I am not sure why, NY Brite felt like the nicest customer service. They answered all my questions, offered a cleaner, and said they even do laundry and closet organizing. The only thing was that they have a minimum of 3 hours, and my apartment is so tiny, but I left them some laundry, ironing and folding to do. My house was spotless. The feeling of coming home to a clean apartment is priceless. Will def. use them again!!! Pros: Spotless! Cons: 3 hour minimum more
