Businiess name:  Dr. Greg D. Perry, MD
Review by:  Heather A.
Review content:
I found Dr. Perry when I was new to Tallahassee in Dec. 2004 or Jan. 2005. After calling several doctors that I had been referred to all had waiting lists. That tells me all I need to know about these offices. I called Dr. Perry's office and they were just starting out here in Tallahassee and I was able to get an appointment for the same day as they didn't have many patients established in the practice yet. I found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and willing to help and give directions as I was new to the area. I had many questions about Dr. Perry before I would set up an appointment to interview him to decide if he would be a good fit as a doctor for me. Typically I find that staff get annoyed and protective when I ask questions like.. How old is the Dr. How long has he had a private practice. Where did he goto school? Family Dr. or Internist? When the office is closed who takes call? What hospital does he have privileges at? Etc. They were more than happy to take the time to answer all my questions. I went in with my list of questions to ask him. I ask all sorts of questions. Some that pertain to my health issues and issues that I want to know where the doctor stands but that do not pertain to me. He impressed me with his current knowledge but also his approach to issues such as a rare condition I have. When you are educated on your condition and have information on possible treatments that you would like to consider he will take the time to discuss those treatments and all others available. Dr. Perry is a fabulous clinician. His diagnostic skills are fantastic. I feel that the reason he is such a great doctor is because he really takes the time to sincerely listen to you and does not double book his patients and have to rush you through your appointments. He is not about throwing drugs at you. When there is not a need for antibiotics or other Rx's he does not prescribe them which to me is a plus because I feel that doctors over prescribe drugs far too often. Masking the symptoms rather than getting to the root of the problem and fixing it. Dr. Perry has been my primary care doctor as well as my daughters primary care doctor since January 2005 (3 years) Overall I think he is the best primary care doctor I have ever had! I would recommend him as a family doctor to any family. I have never ever had a problem getting a same day appointment when I am sick!
