Review content:
I have used La James' services off and on for years. They used to charge $10 for an hour massage because the therapist is a STUDENT. Now they charge $35 for that same service... yet it is still given by a STUDENT. I went this week for a full set of acrylic nails which was $25 (no different than anywhere else). I had to go back TWICE just so the set could be finished because it took the first girl over an hour and a half to just get the tips on. Then she is telling me how she doesn't really like doing acrylics and she's really really slow. The second girl who tried to clean the nails up for me did a nice job. However, I've already had to superglue three nails back on... and this is only 2 days later! They didn't put polish on because they had such a piss poor offering of about 20 colors (including orange and bright blue... because so many people would choose those, I'm sure). I also had a facial this week. I choose the $65 one because it had everything from the other facials plus more. I was told it would take over an hour and a half. Well 60 minutes and it was done, no massage... just a mask. The receptionist obviously did not know the products they sell as she was the reason I chose the expensive one. I was looking forward to the arm massage and got nothing. I can honestly say that I will NOT be going back to La James again. They are a school and should be charging for the services accordingly. These students are NOT professionals, they are training to BE professionals.
