Well, we don't have snow usually although it does get cold now and then, but boring it is not. Right now it's January and the big event in town is the Augusta Futurity://..com . This gives us city folks a whole week to be cowboys and boy is it fun. Not only do you see some beautiful horses, but you get to watch them work the cattle. The cowboys are just on for the ride, because the horses do all the work. It is a sight to see, watching those horses cut a cow from the herd and keep it out for the time limit. There are also vendors there from all over the country selling everything from boots, hats, western furniture to lassos and saddles. Just walking around looking at all the goods for sale is fun. These Futurities are held all over the country and Augusta is fortunate to be on the list to have one. Ours has grown over the years and now is one of the big events on the list. If you ever get a chance to come visit Augusta, GA this week would be a great week to come.
