Kraus Department Store is the store your grandparents used to visit or the store that as a kid you remember going into and being amazed.
Simply nothing is left to the imagination to find when you step inside. Obscure items that you could find in no other place adorn the walls, drawers and cabinets of this classic old time store.
While parking is a little difficult at times, you generally can find a spot right out front at the meters. You definitely want to feed the meter too, because while you think you might just pop in to get that lamp fixed or grab a new lampshade for that antique light your kids broke you will end up staying to browse.
Some of the items are right up there with today's standards and items. Definitely kept with the times in some instances, they offer items that those in the neighborhood would need or want. But it's the little unique items that will bring you back.
If you simply want to feel as though you have stepped back to the 50's or 60's, you need to stop in. The wooden floors, shelves of items you haven't seen in years and laid back shopping atmosphere will bring a jump to your heart and make your long for those olden days!
