Do stay here if you simply need to pull off the Interstate, sleep and get back into your car and leave. We have found the perfect place to stay at an incredible price. ($41) Our daughter goes to the University of Minnesota and we find that by leaving Lincoln NE we can drive halfway and crash out in Des Moines at this hotel. It's clean, basic and we haven't had a bad stay in the 3 times we have stayed here. We do nothing more than use this place to sleep. We don't swim, we can park our car, we can eat at Village Inn down the road, we don't work out, we don't need a business center, we don't need room service when we are there for 7 hours tops. We find a lower level room easy to unload one suitcase and walk 10ft into our room. If you look BASIC up in the dictionary you will find a room at this Motel 6 pictured by the word BASIC. Look up the word OVERPRICED and you will find almost every other hotel chain pictured by it. A room a bed, a toilet and shower....that's all I need! The best part? We literally were checked in at the front desk in less than 60 seconds. In our room in 2 minutes. In bed in 15 minutes.
