Review content:
We purchased $20,000 in Jennair appliances from A/P after the sales associate leaned us to that brand vs Viking and touted all the current rebates of Jennair. We bought the entire kitchen months in advance to qualify for the rebate date range. The associated told us they would store the appliances in their warehouse until we were ready to install them. According to A/P we would submit the rebate paperwork during the purchase month, which we did, then would have to submit the serial numbers after the appliances were installed. Come to learn, that was very inaccurate. A/P should have requested the serial numbers from Jennair as soon as the items shipped to their warehouse and given them to us to submit the rebate. As a result of not getting us the serial numbers as soon as the product shipped or arrived at the warehouse, Jennair would not honor the submitted rebate form. A/P's response was "some associates aren't clear on how the rebate programs work" and Jennairs response was "we are very clear to all our distributors how the rebate program works and they are all well-aware of our policies". I think it is poor business practice to lean a customer to a brand due to the current rebates/promos then fail to disclose proper procedures. I feel as if they were happy to take our money, but as soon as they got it they were done with any type of service. Very disappointing.
RESPONSE FROM Allen & Petersen Cooking & Appliance Center:
Hi Charity,
I discovered that the rebate in question was a rebate for installation on your appliances. Jenn Air did not deny the rebate due to serial numbers, but instead did not pay the rebate to you because of a lack of an installation invoice. If you provide me with a copy of an invoice showing your costs for installation I'm certain I can help get those funds for you. I hope this rectifies the problem and thank you for allowing me to help!
Thanks,
Kyle Mirka
