Massage Envy, for me, is historically hit-or-miss. I go for a massage not hoping for relaxation, but for some brutal knot slaying that will leave me almost in tears but destroys the tension I have built up. At most locations, I found I had about a 30% chance of success in that.\r

Sam, in particular, is stupendous. I recently scheduled a 90 minute massage a few days before going on a 10-day cross-country road trip. A traffic accident held me up and I arrived late, but instead of having my massage cut short, which I fully expected, he offered to continue past my scheduled appointment time - into his break time - to finish attacking my back. That kind of service from a ""chain"" is just about unheard of!\r
