Review content:
We walked in & the first floor was fine. The 2nd floor spa was a shocker. The carpet was old, worn, dirty & unvaccuumed. In the locker room we were handed flipflops that looked like they were from Old Navy. For the price of this spa, way overpriced for the generic services offered, we should've received fluffy or massaging slippers like in most spas. We went to put on robes & they were so hard they bearly unfolded. No fabric softner was used here. My friend's robe was so thin you'd have seen her body through it had she put it on. We couldn't go on. As we were leaving the locker room I was astounded to find 2 Renuizit deoderant cones. Aromotherapy maybe? Ugh. We told them we were cancelling our appointments. The 3rd person in our party had already been taken back. She was never offered to change into a robe & slippers for her pedicure & facial. Completely unacceptable. We were told to go to the 4th floor to wait on her. Once there, we looked around & were unsurprised to find things less than desirable. This was supposedly the relaxation area, but had flourescent lighting, mildew around the ceiling vents, plastic dusty trees everywhere & the cloth furniture was dirty & stained. Couldn't imagine sitting on them in a paper thin robe. Yuck! The carpet was stained, worn & very dirty. We decided to have our friend meet us elsewhere as we couldn't stand to be anywhere in this ""spa"" anymore. I honestly don't know how they pass health inspections. I'm sure there are wonderful places in Philadelphia easier to get to, with more creative spa services, cleaner & better priced. It's sad & I feel bad the staff lost out on a great tip.The mgmt needs to get it together & make major changes. I own an event planning company & know with the economy, only places that go out of their way on client service & image will be the ones that make it. I hope the mgmt gets it together before their staff lose out on future clients. The staff hasn't been given much to work with at this spa.
Pros: Nice but not Overly Friendly Staff
Cons: Dirty, Overpriced, Not Comfortable or Pampering
