Review content:
Since 1993, we?ve lived in several states, gone to several vet offices, found some good ones and many that were in it just for the money. When we first moved to Colorado, we went to one vet and found they cared more about the money then our furry family members. Luckily we moved in 2000 and found Fillmore Vet Office and have gone there ever since. In May 2006, our 13 yr old dog got into the trash in the middle of the night and her stomach flipped. When we discovered her the next morning, she was bloated and in pain. We rushed her to Fillmore Vet, Dr. Cor and the staff quickly called to cancel other appts and cleared his schedule so he could do emergency surgery on Nikita. Later I found out how lucky we were that she not only survived but that our vet was willing to save her as most vets would have said she?s too old, let her go. Dr. Cor and the staff took a personal interest in her and her recovery, we are extremely grateful to them. Nikita thrived after the surgery until finally her old age set in and she was diagnosed with cancer. Once again Dr. Cor and the staff did everything they could; they kept her comfortable, gave us more time with her and helped prepare us for the worse. We had to finally let her go on Christmas Day and my only regret was not being able to take her to Fillmore Vet. The emergency vet wasn?t as supportive or as sensitive and seemed more interested in on what tests they could run and we could spend. I feel for the family who lost their lab, I?m sure they are grieving, angry, feeling guilt and need to point blame but we?ve been with Fillmore Vet for 8 years and wouldn?t go anywhere else. If you want a vet office that cares about you, your pet and your family and will do whatever it takes to care for them, I strongly recommend Fillmore Vet.
