I brought my car in due to what seemed to be a battery issue for a routine alternator check. I also mentioned that there was a hose sparking underneath the hood, on the left side of the engine, and also the car door was dinging and that I would like to have that turned off. They ran the alternator check with no problems, and wanted to continue with another test to diagnose how exactly my battery was being ran dead, something was giving off too much charge. I mentioned my door again, and was told the test was 91 dollars and it would show exactly where the charge was that was draining my battery every night. He called back the next day (apparently, a co-worker got into a car accident and seemed the place was understaffed) to let me know (GUESS WHAT) that the car door alarm was draining my battery, he asked if I wanted a quote to see how much to fix it, or simply just turn off the sound. The latter sounded easier, and less expensive. I let him know that I would just like to have it turned off, but I wouldn't be able to pick up my car until the next day, hopefully before noon. Unfortunately, it was not before noon, but an hour later driving to pick up my car when I received a voice message bluntly stating that I needed to "UH" pick up my car, he was going to need the room tonight so if I could "UH" pick up my car. When I went to pick up my car, "Dan" did not say one word, did not display a FRACTION of customer service, acted annoyed with me, glared at my boyfriend for a long time, did not say ONE WORD about the other problem I had brought my car down there for, and I did not dare ask. I paid for my "tests" and smiled when my car started, then frowned immediately when my car door started dinging. Great. You did nothing to my car, absolutely nothing. You did not even do what you said you were going to do. It is a very simple easy fix, that for one does not cost 126$, and takes google to figure out. I called back when I got home, (I would have walked right back in, but after the shoddy customer service and work on my car, I think it's safe to say I didn't trust them to help me) and was told that, "I wasn't as strong as him and I needed to slam my door harder to get it to stop dinging." I replied with, well I thought you turned it off, it's what I asked you to do? I was told that it wasn't dinging for him when he "fixed" it, which was unusual because as soon as I started my car at the shop it was showing the door being open. Interesting. And if you had disabled (which was the word you used) the alarm, it SHOULDN'T BE DINGING. I quickly googled how to turn off the car door alarm on my make and model of car, and disengaged the problem myself in a matter of minutes. Thanks for the 126$ battery charge. I will not be returning. And another thing, this isn't my first rodeo. I get there is protocol and tests, and an order of doing things, but there is also being experienced in your field, customer service to help your customers at least feel like they're saving money, and being able to troubleshoot. Your establishment did NONE of that. I don't mind paying for what "work" was done, I guess your stupid tests, but you didn't even fix the elementary problem I had. You just dicked me around, and ran my debit card. Pretty rude.
