I was a little apprehensive after making the decision for LASIK. I had two consultations set up so that I could ""interview"" two different Opthalmologists. However, after meeting Dr. Mandel and his staff, I knew that I had found the right place for me. Dr. Mandel and his staff were incredibly friendly and thorough in explaining the procedure in detail at every step of the way. I felt very well informed as to what would happen and very comfortable that I was in the best hands. The day of the procedure, as I was sitting in their 'relaxation' room (massage chairs, beverages, water fountain), Dr. Mandel even came in to sit with me for a few minutes because I was a little nervous. During the procedure, Dr. Mandel and his assistant made sure that I was as comfortable as possible and before I knew it, it was over! And the best part is that I now see 20/20 after years with glasses and contacts. I'm really glad that I chose Dr. Mandel and his office for my Lasik - if you have doubts, I would recommend making an appointment for a consultation. I guarantee that you will experience what all the reviewers have mentioned -- a comfortable office setting, a great team, and a great successful LASIK story by Dr. Mandel.
