Customer Service was lousy. They touted being #1 on Angie's List for great service and product. The technicians installed a new a/c unit, but the city inspector failed it. Our old unit was 7 years old with a mismatched condenser and air handler and kept nickel and diming us to death. So we contracted with Bayside to install a new three ton unit to replace the old two and one half ton unit. It was supposed to be more efficient and cool the house better. We also had an extension installed to the indoor laundry room. That did not work properly despite their replacing the cooling ductwork with a larger size. The vent to the laundry room is 8 inches long and most likely needs a 12 inch vent grill to cool the room properly. The laundry room is still hot even when there are no appliances working. Also, the old programmable thermostat kept the house cool at 78 degrees...now to get to the same degree of comfort the new thermostat that was installed has to be on 73 or 74 degrees. Additionally, the condenser unit sweats so much that it is dripping with water constantly. Pros: replaced garbage can damaged while installing unit; showed up on time Cons: work failed city inspector's first inspection; larger unit does not cool efficiently, laundry room still warm
