Review content:
Well we were looking for a new corrolla. We went to this dealership on Monday morning. The salesperson greeted us well... he showed us cars; and then we began to negotiate. During the negotiations, he asked me to sign a piece of paper that said that "I will purchase today if m price is met." I asked why I was signing this stupid thing... he responded "So my manger knows that you are serious about buying a car"... So he went back and forth and back and forth and back and--yeah you guessed it--forth apparently trying to talk his manager into this deal. We couldnt work out a deal... so we left (BTW this is a good thing... they will call you back, I promise!) SO the next day, we get a call from another salesguy,a nd we go in to talk about the car again. So we go through the same BS. I signed another little stupid piece of paper that said I'ld buy today. Later on, the salesman asked for a credit card. I asked why? And he responded "SO that my manger knows you're serios about buying today" WTF, over?? DO NOT give them this people!! We refused... so the manager came to talk to us personally! I was so excited, I felt like it was prom night all over again. The manager was coming to see us ooooooohhhhhh When the manager came, he asked my husband how we came up with the offer price. And my husband mentioned the "H" word... HOLDBACK. Google it... look it up. The manager flew off the handle!! He instantly became defensive and irrate and yelled and screamed... he was demeaning and condescending... it was obvious we werent gettign anywhere... So we got up and left!
The following week, we bought a brand new Corolla LE for our asking price of $15,500 plus TTL from Toyota of Dallas!! You know what? we would have paid more if it meant that Toyota of Irving wasnt going to get our business!
