Review content:
Fresh has been a regular haunt of mine for years now. The food was always good, the space inviting and the service friendly. This summer, I was shocked to find out that the previous owners had sold it. Like most people, I'm a creature of habit and stopped going for the first few weeks for fear of change. I have now returned only to find it better than ever. The menu has been expanded offering more variety and to my surprise, the prices have dropped too but you couldn't tell by the quality of the food. The scallops were as great as they have always been as well as the sliders. Now they've added a few neat dishes like paella croquetes which were great although borederline salty according to my girlfreind, grilled mussels which were to die for and even raw bar items like oysters, shrimp cocktail and demi lobster. I only wish that they offerd more than 1 type of oyster but the new young but very firendly owner insisted that construction for a full raw bar was underway. The entree's are still seafood focused and as good as before but offer more than your basic chicken and steak as alternatives like their homemade Bolognese Pasta. And for dessert, I suggest the tasting plate which has small portions of all their new desserts which are beatifuly presented. I think the greatest change of all was the wine list. They offer retail pricing on their premium wines of which they have a huge selection so you really get what you pay for. If only they could do that on all their wines but then of course, they'd be out of business. All in all, I'm very excited about the changes and will continue to go. Who says you can't teach an old dog, new tricks. Pros: Wine List, Menu, Value $$ Cons: Parking, limited patio space
