Review content:
I am super, super nervous when it comes to my eyes! I don’t like anything around my eyes, cannot put in contacts, and cant even put Visine drops in my eyes. Don’t know what it is, but even thinking about someone getting close to my eyes, makes me dizzy! So, with that being said; how was I ever going to have LASIK done, so I could get out of these ugly glasses!!?? That was the million dollar question!!\r \r So, I had a good friend that told me that she went to Dr. Colby Stewart with Houston Eye Associates. She told me that he was different than most doctors she had been to, and that I might want to get a free consultation from him about LASIK surgery. (Just thinking about meeting with someone about my eyes made me nervous). So I made the appointment and began to face my biggest fears!\r \r My friend was right. Dr. Stewart was different than other doctors. I don’t want to say he was laid back, but more approachable than most doctors I have talked to in the past. He came across to me as someone that was extremely confident and knowledgeable in regards to his specialty. He really took the time to explain to me how LASIK worked, and how he would be there to hold my hand during the procedure! (He literally held my hand during the procedure!). After a battery of testing; Dr. Stewart felt confident about me being a good candidate for LASIK. We scheduled the procedure a few days later. I was, ofcourse, nervous, and his staff made me feel better by sitting with me and talking to me. They also gave me a sedative, valium, that made everything better. In about 6 minutes I had both eyes done, and was amazed that I was able to let anyone get close to my eyes! The next day I was 20/20 out the right eye, and 20/15 out of my left. It was amazing! If you are thinking about having LASIK surgery, I recommend Dr. Stewart without reservation. \r
