I phoned about having our cat - a stray adopted over three months ago - come in for an initial checkup. From the start the assistant was hesitant about making an appointment. I explained my cat had fleas and needed treatment, she told me that left untreated it could develop anemia, etc., but still would not make an appointment. She took my phone number saying they would call me back later that day. An hour before closing time, having not received any return call, I called again to inquire about an appointment - the same person said they would not treat my cat because it was a former stray. She said anyway the Dr was booked up for about two weeks, but she did not offer to make an appointment then or any further service. I don't think this was in line with being a good veterinary facility.
