Do NOT go here. This place was thrust upon me because I had my child at Banner Thunderbird. On the outside they appear fine. Their staff has always been really friendly to me and I can ALWAYS get an appointment. However, after 4 years I can honestly say they've done nothing. Really. Nothing.
My last appointment was for my 4 year old's check up. If I said the doctor was in there for anything over a minute, it would be generous. She didn't even examine my daughter! The time before that I was there because my daughter was coughing at night. Dr. Cabelona tipped her nose up...looked in briefly and said, ""She has allergies, giver her Claritin at night."" REALLY? You were able to ascertain that in the 3.5 seconds it took you to look up her nose? And you want me to drug up my 4 year old with Claritin based on that genius diagnosis?
Unfortunately, the harm inflicted upon my nephews was much worse. When the youngest was 3 he had issues with pooping. So what did they do? They put him on Miralax. They KEPT him on it for a YEAR. They never addressed any real problem...my sister in law kept saying he seems to be over the mental aspect of it but he's still not going. WELL NO DUH. The Miralax killed ALL of the bacteria in his digestive tract and he's unable to poop anymore. She took him to her regular doctor and he put him on probiotics and they are weening him off of the Miralax. Guess what? He's going on his own now. Her doctor was APPALLED that they put such a young child on Miralax for so long.
My other nephew had a cough that turned chronic and he started sounding like a seal. My sister-in-law took her to these idiots for a YEAR numerous times telling them it was getting worse. What did they tell her? Nothing but ""give him Claritin."" So...she takes him to her doctor. He is AGHAST. The kid has asthma and he tells her that Claritin will only make it worse. He put him on breathing treatments to treat his asthma. Guess what? He's not coughing anymore.
Both of those children SUFFERED for a year over Arrowhead Pediatrics' inability to take the time and actually TREAT children instead of shuffling them in and out to get their office visit money. If I had my way I would make sure that they were SUED. But it takes money to sue...and who has that? DON'T trust your kids to these quacks.
