I gave Crown Towing & Robbery one (1) star only because it's the lowest CitySearch will allow you to give. Crown Robbery doesn't deserve one star.
Just getting back from a much needed vacation, I realized my auto registration had lapsed by 7 days. As it was Sunday, I planned to get it all worked out on Monday.
Sunday night, Crown Towing towed my car from my designated parking spot in my apartment complex. Mind you; I pay $50 a month for this parking spot. My apartment complex is one (1) block away from Crown Towing and they told me that I had to pay $88 to get the car back.
I walk down to Crown Towing very irritated but totally willing to pay the $88 to get my car out. I paid the $88 and then the horrible excuse for a human being behind the counter told me, ""Oh, yeah, but we can't let you take the car because your auto registration lapsed.""
So they made me pay ANOTHER $88 to have my car towed back to my paid parking spot.
I realize that this company is in business to tow cars and make money but the additional $88 to tow my car back was just over the top.
These people are the worst excuses for human beings that I've ever met.
There are plenty of other towing companies in New Haven - I suggest you give another towing company your money rather than these slimy slithering snakes.
Horrible Company, Horrible Management, Horrible People, just Horrible.
