Be prepared to hear this phrase ANYTIME you walk into the leasing office at this complex. First off let me say that my fiance and I really wanted to like Liberty Square. The units are brand new and very nice and the Centennial Hills area is wonderful but Liberty Square's new management company is staffed with the most unhelpful, incompetent and rude people I have ever met. Throughout our entire stay there (18 months) every time we needed any assistance or complaint we were told that we needed to speak with Elizabeth (the apartment manager) who is conveniently NEVER there. When you leave a message for her, she does not return your phone calls. When we signed our lease there we were supposed to have a 24 hour fitness center, which was a major reason we signed a lease in the first place because I have to leave for work at 6:30 ever morning, and then were told part way through our stay there that because TV's had been stolen from the fitness center (makes you feel really safe) that they were changing the hours to 7 til 10. When we tried to reason with them ""they were sorry but there was nothing they could do"" The most recent issue that is prompting me to get on here and write this review though is the chain of events that we experienced as we were trying to move out after our lease ended. We informed them 60 days prior to move out IN WRITING that we would not be extending our lease and that our move out date would be the 7th of the month and arranged with them to pay 7 days worth of rent for the new month. Upon arriving at our apartment on the 7th to grab the last of our things and turn in our keys and the 7 days payment we had an notice on our door saying that we were 5 days late on rent and owed a total of over $1000 (a full months rent plus late fees). We took the notice to the office and they said ""oh, we're sorry, we must have misplaced the paper that you signed, you don't owe for the full month but you still have to pay late fees"" and all of this is after we were told that the remaining 7 days payment could be turned in at the same time as our keys and ""they're sorry if we were misinformed but there is no way that they can waive the late fees"". Now just a few days ago we received our moveout checklist/damages list and it says that we are being charged $400 to paint the apartment (even though their paperwork says you will only be charged this if you live there under 6 months) and repair ""holes"" in the wall from hanging pictures. We are also being charged $400 to clean the carpet for what to most normal people would be considered normal wear and tear. We were also charged a $50 ""general apartment cleaning fee"" even though upon moveout we scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom top to bottom and vacuumed and swept every floor. I have gone over my paperwork with a coworker who has been a landlord in Las Vegas for years and told me that what they're doing isn't right at all. So in the long and short...if your favorite phrase in the world to hear is ""I'm sorry there's nothing we can do"" and love to be treated like the outrageous amount of money you pay them (over $1000 a month for a 1 bedroom) doesn't matter, then Liberty Square is the place for you. Otherwise I would suggest taking your hard earned money elsewhere.
