I do not like to leave bad reviews for anyone but a few years have passed since I gave this business a glowing review and I am unable to remove it from citysearch for some reason.
I feel obligated to add a new review about this workroom.
The people that originally recommended SDD are no longer working with Magdalene and after a large project I entrusted SDD with turned out an absolute disaster I am inclined to also burn the business card and move on.
SDD was hired to produce shades and drapes for a large project in New York City. Many of the shades arrived in incorrect sizes and SDD then blamed us the design firm for these mistakes and demanded additional money to fix the problem. We ended up sending her a check for $ 1,500.00 just to get the shades done correctly and to make the client happy. This turned out to be a big mistake. SDD is completely incapable of appearing on time for any scheduled installations. Within the time frame of 2 weeks 4 dates were canceled last minute, in a row!
The installers work on a freelance basis and clearly this workroom is not a priority for them. Some of our shades came back incorrect 3 times in a row with no proper adjustments having been made.
As a firm we lost a client over this drama.
Magdalene is dishonest, only concerned about her bottom line and will insult clients freely. Completely unprofessional!
